| What is an Egg?
Just though I would ask, as it seems to be a rather large pool of people here at SR - but has anyone of you ever eaten what is called an "egg?". They are laid by chickens and you can either boil them or fry them (the content of the egg is fried). Apparently there are farms with chickens on, who then lay the eggs. Any know about this or have information on eggs?

I know about eggs. When someone eats one their breath smells like some kind of volcano fart, unless the magical omelette transformation takes place: It's been found that eggs broken and cooked first over a hob then secondly under the grill, especially when mixed with garlic, onions and cheese (oh, lots of cheese), are actually palatable. I think they come from baby pidgeons. Or trees J xxx

Eggs are nasty vile creations the come out of chicken's butts. They are NOT to be eaten. They are to be thrown against houses of people that you do not like (only in your juvenile days of course!). They can also be boiled and decorated at Easter time. But that is it!!!!!

I do not like them in a box. I do not like them with a fox. I do not like them in a house. I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere. I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-am. |

We all started from an egg !!!!!!!!!!!!! and it does not come out of the ass (just somewhere very close by as in humans) Eggs have 6 grams of protein, every mineral and vitamin except vitamin C, is high in beta-carotene, lutein and zeaxanthin which have been shown to decrease macular degeneration which causes irreversable blindness. And the cholesterol squawk is a bunch of hooey!!!!! For most people in the world it is the least expensive form of protein. It's the incredible edible egg. And if you have ever had a fresh one you would taste the difference from the old stale ones you buy at the store. Some of those even smell like fish because that is what they feed the chickens. My flock is free range and the taste of the eggs is incredible.

Mama Goose ~ I am sure that your eggs are lovely and the cream of the crop, it's just that I HATE eggs. Any form or fashion. Scrambled, fried, deviled, sunny side up. HATE them. No offense to you and your eggs. xoxoxoxo Ang |

Hi overit, No offense taken. Have you ever been tested for food allergies? Eggs, milk and wheat are big ones. ( Egg product is used in vaccines.) My middle son was allergic to the protein casein found in all types of milks and even soy cheeses. I think we instinctively know what not to eat. Little kids don't know how to say it but I remember picking out the onions in all the foods I was served. I'm not allergic but they do a number on me. And now I know. Take care.

No, I don't think I'm allergic to them. I used to eat them when I was small (or so they tell me0. I just don't like the taste or the smell. I hate milk too! But you have to have eggs don't you? How else would you make cakes and cornbread? |

Actually, when I was in high school, we had a wonderful, fun thing to do with raw eggs.......... We would throw them at the "latest boy-snatcher", of one of our boyfriends, while they were walking home from school. Actually it worked very well. We were greatly feared by the girlie-girls.
