The Walk Out Here

So the House of Reps is trying to pass a bill to make it a Federal Crime to be in this country illegally.

That means that a bunch of 'students' (kids) will be deported.

They've decided to do a huge 'Walk Out' lots of schools around here,
the kids just all 'Walked Out' and are marching the streets.

It's all so Random.....

I saw them on CNN. Looks like it could get out of control. I assume it hasn't yet.

ok so does that mean that when I come over in August to live in New York for a few months and do some 'work' without having a proper sponsership I will be there illegally??

I'm not really sure, but I would look into it. People are up in arms about it.

Although from what I've 'seen' so for this is more about the ones coming in
from the 'Mexico' border. But I'm not sure. I should read more about what is going on.....

My mother was an immigrant. She came to the US. Legally. Learned to speak English, got a job and paid taxes. What bothers me is someone coming to the USA illegally, working under the table for a wage that is half my wage, not paying a dime in taxes, then my taxes go to put their kids in school, give them food stamps and housing. Is this fair? I dont think it is. I work very hard to make a living. And not just blaming them for just wanting a chance at a better life, but the low life greedy scumbags who employ them. ILLEGALLY!!!! Now that should be a Federal crime.

Yea, I do know what you mean. Been paying taxes since I was 15, working my ass off, but right now I am not able to even get some type of help with health insurance, school funding, because I'm white, and not pregeant. Etc.. the list goes on...

That is a big reason why I don't read up about stuff like this when it happens, I get so frustrated. It's sometimes not worth my frustration.

Did you know that if you are here from 'India' you get a 'special' tax write off because the majority of them send their income back to India, and even if they are 'legal' here they don't have to do 'Jury Duty'.
I find that so wrong. It's not their fault either, it's our stupid government.

As a Painter I been having to deal with illegal aliens for my whole career. A job that pays $20 an hour, they happily do for $10. Now that I am self employed it's even worse. With Insurance, Social Security, and workman's comp. it cost's me $20.00 an hour to work an apprentice for $10. Then Joe Blow comes along with his $10 an hour under the table workers and gives a bid on a job I cant come close to competing with.Yeah, when it comes to this subject, I admit to having some very serious resentments. I would like to see all kids get a good education. Our class rooms are overcrowded. We need more schools, more teachers. Our kids are not getting the education they deserve. I guess they could always raise our taxes a little more to support the ones who pay no taxes. Deport students because their parents came here illegally, and don't pay their fair share of taxes? It's hard for me to feel bad about it.
