I'm going to predict the Katherine, Chris and Taylor be in the top three. Bucky has got to go. I think he's nice and cute and stuff but he isn't a great singer, at all. Paris is very talented but I don't think she'll win but we will see more of her. 2days, You might be right about Taylor's blues style. Ace was a huge disappointment. He's not really my cup of tea but I think the girls probably like him and he has a good chance if he just picks the right songs. I really like Kelley but her song was bad bad. You're right about her hair.....it's something, she looks different. Next week they all need to step it up but  they are doing country?!!? It could be bad! :andy: ~doll

I don't really know who you all are talking about. I have only seen one episode this year~~~the one where Chicken Little?????? got kicked off. But, I just wanted to post, cause this is the only active thread at the moment. So, that being said, I hope whoever you all want to win, wins!  xoxoxo Ang |

Just thought I'd pop in. I did get a chance to watch it, (as I was healing my sunburn...YOWEY) I didn't like any of them. My question is: Do they REALLY egt to pick their own songs? Because I sure think they could pick better. I also hope Pickler does well, she has really had a hard life. And she was raised by her grandparents from what I understand, so maybe she truly is naive. It's a nice thought that someone in this world is naive, anyway... Still liking Chris, but he better choose better songs. He always sounds like heavy metal to me, but I like his voice the best. I also like Katherine, but as of last night, it seems the public doesn't care for her? Hugs you all,

Hey two dayZZZ You cant say that about MandISA stuffed chair. You guys would kill me if I said that but I am LMAO. Hey if you got it shake it. I hope she doesnt grow on me but she kinda is. No tounge or ankle closeups this week. That is good. Did I predict Lisa or what HAHA. Oops rampant ego check. Ace makes me sick and I want to leave the room and puke. After I bathe. I'll show him my scar. Have to pull my pants down a bit. Oh crap did I say that? Yes they pick their own songs and that part is good. We get to see what they like and like Simon says what kind of album they would record. Elliot is good even though I dont like Hip Hop but he is good. Bucky or Ace next week unless Katherine picks a bad song. Bucky cant dance Ace cant sing. Max

This idol chat is cracking me up ! You all have said all the things I have thought but would be afraid to write out loud !! I think that Paris is probably the most naturally talented of the bunch, but I don't think she will win. Love Mandisa, even as a stuffed chair??? Oops, now I have to join Max in the confessional. Taylor is mine and Mr. Dots favorite. He is unique and isn't afraid to put himself out there. Chris doesn't need to win, because he probably has record producers knocking at his door already with huge contract offers. Ace forgot to wash his hair. He was dripping with sappy vocals and grease from his hair. ew. Catherine has a bit of arrogance about her that I think is spoiling her chance at the popular vote. She indeed has a beautiful voice as well. Eliot has a fab voice, but I can't get over the fact that he looks like he just walked off an Amish farm in wisconsin. Oh well...just my two cents worth. Bucky is gone.

Wwll, well, well.....................I HATE COUNTRY MUSIC !!! I would rather eat tainted pork than watch an hour of country music !! But alas, I had to watch. And what's with Kenny Rogers ??? He had such a severe face lift, I think I noticed his belly button up by his neck !!!!! He looks like Joan Rivers long lost brother............. Anyway...my predition for the kick off tonight is..... Good bye our little Buck-Buck-Buckaroo! Actually if I was the voting public, I would vote them ALL off tonight and find a new batch of singers! I dont' know what to say really about any of them. The song choices were terrible and most of them looked like THEY were even bored. My vote has to go to Kelly, I'm a hillbilly, Pickler. Besides the fact that she has the best body, she's pretty and really does country music proud. Now, if we could just get her to stop talking....she might have a chance. I thought Mandisa sang well, but it looked as though she grabbed the table cloth off the dining room table and wore it as a shirt. IMHO Eliot looked better than I have ever seen him. (oh wait, I was in the bathroom and didn't really see him, just heard him) Maybe that's why he looked so good. Chris sounded a little nervous, but I think he did okay. I dont' know, I think country music is hard to sing for anyone who isn't a fan. I DO know one thing....if you're not a fan, it's even harder to LISTEN to !!! So what is everybody elses' thoughts here? Anybody feel the same way I do?? Looking forward to reading replies.............

I did like Tayor alot. His tone was great. Ace was Ok I hate to say it. Mandisa made me feel like. Well you know when your parents talk about sex and you want to run and hide, and you feel icky. Yup thats how she made me feel. Bucky had his night to shine and he sucked. Chris could have turned it up. He looked sceered of country. You dont have to be sceered of it belt it out. Elliot looked out of his element. Just sing it!! Our little thank you girl kept it to 3, thank you's good song choice for her just didnt sing it well. I dont like her. Please forgive me. Kelly's cute is wearing off. Would someone please just belt out a song. My wife thought she was as good as Reba blecck. Katherine is gone.gone.gone. Max

Dot, you are killing me!! You are SO right-on w/ your analogies!! I'm not sure who's gone tonight. Ace did better than last week (and YES, I almost keeled over last week w/ he was quivvering to the camera and touching his scar.....PUKE!), Mandisa looked out of her element - why did she think she could spout out THAT many words to Shania's song when she gets breathless walking in those shoes?! Paris was cute - I agree that she really IS the most naturally talented of the group. I really like Taylor, but how many country folk do you know sing w/ black dress pants on?!?!? Thank Gawd I'm a CITY BOY is more like it! Bucky and Kellie were okay (HOW is Bucky still here, BTW? There's no way he's better than Lisa, who was kicked off last week!) Kellie was really good and I had to smile when she addressed all the rumors going around that her "act" was fake. Jury's still out on that one... "But Salmon has an 'L', so I pronounced it." Pulleeze... Overall, I really like Chris and if I had to pick a winner, he'd be it b/c he's one of a kind, really. He even sounded pretty good last night, and I LOVE that his "hero" is his wife. Every good woman deserves a man like that!! We'll see....

Hi Daddys Girl...........I agree with you on the Chris thing. He is probably the only bald white guy that doesn't look like a big thumb walking down the street. He actually stood still long enough to see what he really looks like. I'm also glad he shaved off those facial 'racing stripes', aren't you?? I'm not sure about Kelly. She is obviously not very bright, but her naivete is running thin. No one can be that sheltered, can they??? Taylor definitely needs a little 'what not to wear' help. But he is really growing on me. Chris is going to be successful, no matter how the competition ends, but I'd love to see either Taylor or Paris win. I love Elliots voice, but I just don't think that he's idol material. Although I said that about Reuben too. Fantasia is my personal idol favorite. How about you? Which one did you like the best? keep posting..............this is fun !!

Yup.....I agree. Chris will probably win. But you're right. Time will tell. Congratulations on your sobriety, btw. My son is the addict in my life. It's all I can handle. I do drink, but I'm not a drinker...does that make sense?? We'll have to watch the kick-off show tonight. I really have no clue who will go, but I'm hoping it's the old' Buckmeister !!

I thought Mandisa really struggled with her barca lounger...er...I mean song tonight. I thought Katherine was very good. I'm not sure who will be voted off tonight. Yay...I'm wrong! Taylor, Kelli-calamari, and Chris are safe. As we wait during the break, great news. Next week they will be featuring songs from Queen. Yeah! Finally, something I can identify with. I can't wait, it oughta be good. I hope they get the house rocking. Who is that man claiming to be Kenny Rogers? I have no idea, but I rather be hearing Barry Manilow right now. Oh, my! Bottom three are Mandisa, Elliot and Paris Once again we are waiting during the break. Hmmm.... who will go? I'm pretty sure that if our Thank you, Thank you, Thank you girl goes, she will still be a strong contender for Miss congeniality. Thank you. We are back... Paris is having fun and she is safe. Then there were two. Elliot is safe and Mandisa is going home. Well Max, you can rest easy now, no more cankle nightmares for you. I must say though, I think Mandisa has a strong voice. I think she makes an excellent gospel singer. Move over Sandy Patty. Mandisa has had high, highs and low, lows. Once again, we are reminded how badly Simon had hurt her by calling her a Barca Lounger. Hmmmm....shocking indeed that Simon would say something so mean. Okay people..............I don't get it. Mandisa, kicked off before Bucky?? I'm feeling a bit sheepish about the table cloth comment now. I loved Mandisa's voice.
