A coworker of mine nailed it about Toni Braxton - she said: "She's the only female singer I know who would try and make a LULLABY sound sexy!" Amen...

Thanks. Did anyone else notice that Kat had a significant weight loss over the course of the show? Her first performance in the Kodak theater, she had an hour glass figure and made the comment of how big her butt looked on camera. (They showed a very unflattering shot from behind) She still looked good, healthy. By the end of the show, she looked thin, like she had lost quite a bit of weight. Is it just my imagination or did anyone else notice? I know they have a gruelling schedule, but I also wonder if the pressures to be thin took its toll on her. Opinions? |

Funny you should mention that.... I thought her weight was fluctuating a lot during the show. I know w/ all the food they must put out in front of them, I'd get HUGE if I were on there! (Like I can sing...) I did notice that, though. (and YES, Clay looked creepy!) I liked Kat, for some reason. That's why I still love Kelly Clarkson - she's healthy and refuses to get stick-thin and ruin another 100,000 teen girls' self esteem!

AMERICAN IDOL judge SIMON COWELL has turned his famous barbed comments on PRINCE after being appalled by the pop superstar's surprise performance at the show's finale last week (24MAY06). The PURPLE RAIN hitmaker took to the stage at the Kodak Theatre for a quick run through two new songs before dashing off, refusing to meet the Idol contestants or greet the audience. Idol host RYAN SEACREST has since reported that he feared Prince would be a no-show - because he appeared just minutes before he was due to hit the stage. And Cowell insists Prince's attitude isn't one he'd like Idol winners to display at any time in their career. He says, "It just tells you how selfish he is. He comes on, not a word - 'I'm not gonna sing with anybody else, I'm not gonna say goodbye.' Thank you for your generosity, Prince."

Prince is a diva LOL!!! His performance I must say was damn good though. Yes, CREEPY is not even strong enough of a word for Clay. He looked more like an oddity or something. Oh yeah- I remember Kat's audition and how she was a bit chubby. I also noticed her fluctuation during the show and then she ended up being pretty thin at the end. I was also wondering if she was under any sort of pressure from the producers or elsewhere to shed the pounds??? Who knows. It IS Hollywood after all.

OMG I can't believe that about Prince!! Actually, I can b/c he's famous for not agreeing to interviews and being aloof. Granted, he comes up to my shoulder blades (the lil' diva....), but hey, he's Prince! I was surprised he agreed to perform at all! I wonder how much the 'stars' got paid - anyone know? They should have done it for free, but w/ the ratings that show gets, I doubt it.

I saw Prince in concert about 4 years ago and I was a little disappointed. He didn't stay on the stage at one time for longer than 20 minutes, if that. He kept going back stage and his band or what ever was performing. He started singing a few of his old hits, the crowd would go crazy.....but then he'd just stop and go into another song. It was strange. But yeah -- he is a diva. When I saw him walk out on the Idol stage, both my gf and i said "No way! Prince!". I hate that he's so selfish. Either way - I'm always going to party like it's 1999.
