| 2 Pairs of trainers!!!!
I've been wearing my old trainers for 4 years - they are ripped, and worn through in places. I've been looking for new ones on Ebay but after one failed attempt (mens sold as womens) I gave up. The shop price for the ones I like is around £60-70 - WAY TOO MUCH! I went into town today and found a discount store - I got a pair of Teva's in a rock boot style (love 'em 'cos I used to climb!) AND then saw ANOTHER pair of Sketchers in QUIET brown leather!! I BOUGHT BOTH!!! A grand total of £37!! for BOTH!!! We're going to a friends for dinner and I keep swapping trainers - I haven't had a choice for YEARS!! I keep looking at my feet! I changed into one pair in town and nearly skipped all the way home!! D is teasing me because I always go on about not getting more than we need - I don't know what came over me (well I do Teva's at £17 and leather trainers @ £20!!). Okay - do I get the most stupid post award??? |

A car is definately more post worthy than trainers!! I may need help with this - I've now changed my trousers to a less flared pair so that the footwear can be seen but I still can't decide?? Usually - If I'm out it has to be my boots 'cos the trainers were rotten, if I was going to markets it was trainers so that the boots stay good for work and the only other pair are sandals (not counting hiking boots). How the hell does a person choose?? Tonight would have been boots - I have one pair. The teva trainers are seriously sporty (NOT in the nike way!!), the others are sensible but trendy - how the hell do I choose? |

I tried changing my jumper but then realised the other one was grubby so changed back which means I'm on the less sporty side so the leathers are winning - by a nose!! I'm not sure it wasn't easier when I knew I was wearing boots! | |

Eq remember my motto...YOU ONLY HAVE TO BUY THEM ONCE lol.... I am a shoe freak and I have spent obscene amonts of money on shoes...It isessential that you have a choice of footwear darling it is totally a must! I wouldnt pay less than £40 for shoes, my reasoning here is that you spend an awful lot of time on your feet so they need to be pampered by having the best footcases as possible!!! My last pair of boots cost me a staggering £100 but they are so fantastic and they make you feel like a million dollars so motto 1 you only have to buy them once motto2 buy the best you can afford motto 3 you are worth it!!! motto 4 ENJOY!!!!! |

| InAButtonKindOfWay. Seriously? | How do you choose? Well, if ya ask me....... lol You should rotate them. Why? Because it takes 48 hours for your shoes to heal themselves. "Heal" I mean recover. When you walk you put up to 3 times your body weight on them. That crushes the EVA in them (Ethel vinyl acetate) but if you let them rest for 48 hours they will pop right back up. If not you continue to press it down and they wear out much quicker and it's not good for your feet. Also your feet sweat about a pint, it takes 48 hours as well for them to throughouly dry out. If you need to know about shoes, I'm your girl. lol..... I worked in a Marathon, Training, Athletic store. We had to learn more than the pediatrists! We carried every brand of shoe there, and people would come in, we'd have to watch them walk and tell them what type of shoe they needed. It was intense. But your feet are so important.. BTW, some trivia for you, You ever notice on the bottom of Nike shoes it says 1000BRS on the bottom of their shoes? Do you know why?

Nope?? Why?? I like shoes I can run in when I feel like it - or jump a park bench, leapfrog a bollard. I feel crippled unless and can do whatever my body can do - I do NOT like being hobbled!! Yep - now I'm past the half way mark in my thirties I think these things are VERY important!! (I love the soles on the tevas - true Vibram traction!!). BTW - how would the rotation method have helped on their first day out?? |
