| Wanna Go On A Hunt With Me?
I thought of something to take my mind off of things while hubby is away. I am going to go on a hunt! Nope, not a bear hunt, not an easter egg hunt, but an empty beer can/bottle hunt. I think I (we) have found most of them, but I'm sure there are still some lurking about. Any suggestions where I should start? Pulling from you own experiences. xoxoxo Ang |

between mattress and box spring; top shelf of closets; amongst winter/summer cloths; tool boxes; places you normally wouldn't have anything to do with. Think like them, where would you hide the bottles/cans?

Inside the BBQ, under piles of leaves, under tarps in the woods and in tree trunks. I think the squirrels may be nipping some too. Good luck hunting.

Ha ha. Found some. In the garage in the kid's old bat bags. Neither one of them play (to my dismay) softball and/or baseball anymore! You guys are just really creative. I'll give you that! xoxoxo Ang |

In the bathroom cabinet behind all the extra toilet tissue, shampoo and boxes of bandaids. In my house we recyle plastic shopping bags to use for carrying things like snacks to the office, for trash in the car and for garbage liners in the bathrooms. There is a big pile of them in one of my cabinets...used to stash stuff under the pile of plastic bags. Under the bed. In the cabinets over my refrigerator where nobody ever looks for anything. (Okay - some are sicker than others )

Actually, the one about the cabinets over the fridge was a good one. I wish I had thought of that one. xoxoxo Ang

Awww...that's okay. We can hunt for anyting you guys want. One story that I wanted to share. I don't think that I have shared it here, I know I did at an AA meeting. We have a small fridge upstairs that my husband keeps "his" beer in. He is a "normal" drinker. Well, anyhoo, on one of the many times that he caught me with my "cheap" beer, he said, well don't throw it out, put it upstairs in the fridge. And I did. There is a thingy on the door, where you can put cans down in a slot you know? Well, of course I drank those and then replaced them with the empties, thinking he would never know, because he does not drink my "cheap" beer. Anyhoo, somehow, about four days ago, he found those empty cans and brought them downstairs and THREW them in the sink. He was furious! I swore to him, that it was before I went to detox. And for once, that was the truth. Anyhow, that just makes me laugh right now. Probably not funny, but I have to laugh. xoxoxoxo Ang

This made me laugh, rofl............made me think of my dad somehow. Once when he 'quit' drinking (out of 4,000 times in my life), I came home to find him sitting sipping on a beer. He saw look on my face and said, well, I HAD A PROBLEM WITH LIQUOR, NO PROB DRINKING BEER! Nope, he had no problem drinking beer..............after beer................after beer...........this may be my own kind of private joke, sorry................................. |

Nope, I totally understand. I probably should not be laughing at my situation, it just really cracks me up now, thinking about it. I always meant to replace those empties with full ones, somehow I just forgot. Imagine that! xoxoxo Ang

I KNOW!!!!!!! was I thinking. The BBQ seemed like a really good idea to me, but we grill out too much (all year long) and hubby does the grilling, so not an option for me! xoxoxo Ang

In the vacuum cleaner bag...although that wasn't exactly beer. Also, if you punched a hole in the fabric under the box spring of the bed, there are wood slats that make great shelves to hide things on too!
