| Hey All You Brits......
WTF is Weetabix? I was just looking at some photos that my husband took last summer while him and my son were there. And he took a picture of a sign that read Weetabix (don't ask me why, I rarely trust him with a camera, but i wasn't there so....). Anyway, it is a cracker? Cookie? Biscuit? TIA Ang |

| ![]() weetabix the cereal has been around for as long as I can remember..it has evolved over the years its like a wheat biscuit cereal and when its soaked in milk it goes a bit sloppy or gooey....I like it but raely eat it... Shredded wheat is a different thing altogether, that is just like eating straw! The pic here shows weetabix minis...part of the new look super cereal which has evolved from the larger plain biscuits....it has sultanas and nuts nada stuff mixed in with it... its all designed to keep a healthy digestive trackt or in other words you eat too much it will make you sh*t like a goose!!! hope this clarifies your question!!!! love purrdxxx |

PM me and i will send you some! how about MARMITE? do you like that over there? as for bubble and squeak that was a traditional monday dinner wasnt it? kind of left overs from the traditional sunday roast....All that cold cabbage and potatoes fried up in a pan and eaten with cold left over meat? My gran used to do a great B&S I loved it, sigh, but the good old Sunday roast seems to be a thing of the past now...with the invention of quick ready to eat meals and frozen alternatives which offer a quick bite, we are all too bsuy for the sit down sunday dinner now....or are we? I still cook most nights for the family and we all sit together, its a time to talk and find out what we have all been doing during the day etc.... So many kids have thier food plonked in front of them whilst watching TV and I do not like that... Us humans are social creatures and we need to communicate, its the glue which bonds us together...its hardly any wonder why there are so many kids in schools who need that extra support in their inter personal and social skills when they are not being tought at home....Ohhhhh I blame the TV!!!! and oven chips LOL No easy answers and I have gone completely off beam here!!! now where were we? oh yes Marmite yummmmmmmmm! I love marmite on toast! in fact when i was pregnant my main diet for a month was marmite sandwhiches! I had a manic craving for marmite and then for the rest of the time I craved CHALK yes chalk.....I would kill for it (but i didnt) I bought it from a toy shop on a regular basis and ATE IT in fact I could still eat it now just thinking about it makes my mouth water! CHALK yes ladies it was chalk....I spoke to my doctor about it and he suggested get this...white wine!!! LOL well that was back then and I did not drink or smoke during either pregnancy but CHALK yes!!!!! Any way I am procrastinating again must plod on with this blasted essay its all childrens acts and bills and dates and legislation...yawn...but has to be done!!!! OVERIT you ok sweetie? I know the hub has gone now just shout if you need us ok!!! love to you all!!! Purrdyxxxx | |

Hey Purddy! Thanks for asking about me. I feel stronger. Actually, he leaves today at 1:30 p.m.. I will have to have him at the airport at 11:30 a.m. (about four hours from now). Got some more phone numbers last night. Thinking about going to some morning meetings while he is gone (even though that is a bit of a drive) And the my regular meetings at night. And of course, I have you guys. I feel confident that when the urge comes, I can :firefight Maramite. Hmmmm. Is that the stuff that is kind of like peanut butter but with a hazlenut flavor? We cook a lot around here. Hubby insists on those healty veggies. And I do insist that when we are all here at the same time, that we sit down and eat as a family. So, we have B&S quite a bit. The whole family loves it. What cracks me up, is everytime hubby goes to England, he buys like 15 tubes of toothpaste Euthymal (sp). We can't get it here. I love it too, but, it just makes me laugh. xoxoxoxo Ang |

P.S. Purddy, That chalk eating thing was a new one to me. I have heard of a lot of strange things that women crave and eat during pregnancy, but that one has to take the cake. With my daughter, I craved mustard. With my son, I craved oranges. Funny, I never liked oranges before (or after) my pregnancy with him, but I used to eat about 10 a day. xoxoxo Ang |

OVER IT and Purrdy..................My mother has always said that a family who eats together stays together.....so.....guess all our family's are staying put!!!.....No over it, marmite is definitly not like penut butter but a bit hazelnutty....oh no!!! Many people hate it but I, like purrdy, think it's great. What I really really love are twiglets!!!! You get the combined crunchyness and marmite all in a clever crisp!!! Infact I bought some this morning......going to get them!!

Good God Purrdy, I just went on the internet to find out exactly what Marmite was, I knew it was yeast extract with some kind of vegtable extract but wasn't entirely sure.....there is a fan club!!!! It tells you all the ways you can eat marmite!!!! If you really really love it I recommend a visit if only to see how bizarre it is. What I didn't know is just how good the stuff is for you!!! www.marmite.com/love/

Marmite is a very strong meaty flavoured black sticky spread which you spread thinly on toast and if you are REALLY addicted to it yu can eat it off the spoon!!!! (LIKE ME) If you like savoury stuff then youll love marmite and as for TWIGLETS they are like eating twigs covered in marmite and baked for a long time so they are mega crunchy...mmmmmm mybro is right they are lovely AND lower in fat too oooh you can eat more then!!! I have been busy at photobucket girls!!!! so watch out!!!! here is a few..... do you use E-BAY at all?......... ![]() |

I'm hanging. Hubby got off okay. I am just not feeling well (physically), I think I have a stomach bug??????? But, anyway, hanging in there. I got the kiddos from school. Took "princess" (daughter) to the mall. Fixing to take son to a friend's to spend the night. Then to a meeting at 8:00 p.m.. Then, pick up princess from the mall. Come home and crash on couch and watch TV until I fall asleep. I was hoping to hear from hubby on his layover, but have not yet. I will be okay. Thanks for caring. xoxoxoxo Ang |
