Anyone believe Brittany's excuse for driving the baby around? I hate to judge people, but I don't believe
her at all.

I find it very interesting to watch how people try and get
out of their wrong doings, especially the celebs.......

I didn't walk in her shoes, but I have a hard time believing I would have done the same. Not with a baby....

Just curious to see what other people thought about it..

They had a picture of her driving on the highway with her baby on her lap. I have a 3 and 4 yr old and would never let them ride in the front seat let alone on my lap while driving. Is she nuts? Who cares if she was trying to get a way from someone trying to take a picture? A picture versus my childs safety I know what I would choose. Evidentally her plan didnt work they still got their picture anyways.

She says the paparazzi was coming after her and she was fearful of them. Well if I was THAT scared to have to take off with my kid, I think I would have a look of FEAR on my
face. She looked awfully content and peaceful too me.

I think the smoking gun should do an under cover story, and set up someone to do the same thing as her, and see what the consequences for them would be. eh....

Someone did turn her into CPS, but I don't know exactly what they did besides send the sheriff to her house.

The song she sang, Overprotected... Hmmm, Ironic.

You know, if you're old enough to remember it. We didn't have seat belts in cars. This might shock a lot of you but kids weren't strapped in at all. Now don't get me wrong, I think, it's a good idea to be belted. I'd like to hear what her body gard has to say. The Paparazzi makes me vomit. A person should be entitled a little space in public. Granted, the movie Paparazzi migh have been far fetched but, look at how these rags lie about people being together when they weren't .

No excuse in my book for not buckeling up the baby...
It has been the law to buckle up the children for at least 20 years...
I buckeled up mine...my daughter will be 20 May 13th of this year.
She should be charged with child endangerment...not the paparazzi...they are part of her life on a daily baisis...a fact of life she must deal with, one of the prices to pay for fame and fortune.
She reportedly even had a bodyguard with her at the time...so was she smoking crack or what?

Normally, I am a rabid mom... but I have to say that I was somewhat surprised by the reaction of the two younger-generation Fox newscasters in Seattle... they were all for "Hang 'Er High!". Their vehemence surprised me. Maybe because, like Zing, I grew up without seatbelts and remember I was in as much danger (perceived) from mom's arm swinging across my throat to "catch" me as I was from flying into the chrome (yes, chrome) dashboard. But I did get hurt during a 'too fast' stop at a stop sign and am a big believer in seat belts.

Do I think Brittany did the right thing? God no!

But I also remember something else... I remember bitching about a driver on the freeway putting on makeup or something - and my sister turned to me and said, "You say that? You ? - who drives and reads a book at the same time?" I had forgotten that little "habit" I had back in my late teens and early twenties... reading and driving (and not slow, either). What was I thinking? Who knows.... I was in my stupid phase, I guess.

Sadly, Brittany seems to be in hers as well. With this kind of attention, she will likely learn much faster than I did.

It wasn't really "What" Brittany did I think that upset me or made me mad. My roommate and I just had a discussion about this.
It was that as soon as she was 'caught' she then turned and blamed
the paparazzi. So that made 'what she did bug me more'.

When Ashley Simpson was busted, she blamed her band...

If Brittany would have even taken part responsibility for her actions,
it wouldn't have bothered me so much.

I have made mistakes as my parents did. We aren't perfect.

But to blame someone else and take no responsibility bugs me.
