Indulge me, please.

If someone says "Which do you want first, the good news or the bad news?", what's your response?

I figured a whole different subject when I saw the thread title...

Bad news first, for me.

yep-bad news first please. by the way, i can't stand when people ask me that. it seem the bad news is never as bad as they suggest it might be, it's not worth the suspense.

My response is typically: "How eager are you to have both your legs broken?" People will often spew the good news first & spare the bad news entirely when given that retort. LOL.

Thank you, everyone. I was just reading about delayed gratification - I have always been a "bad news first " kind of gal, and I wondered what everyone else thought.

Thanks for your input.

And Dan - my life may be a tad "lonely", but it'll be a sad day in MinnieWorld when I have to reach out to the net for indulgence.

I also would say tell me the bad first, but I like Midas's response the absolute best!

Um...how about...
"Neither. Deal with it yourself...I'm going shopping."
Okay, I guess I would want the bad news first.
I still think that is the trick question of the century.

Yes, Gabe, it is a trick question is someone asks me. If it is REALLY good or bad news, then people tend to just blurt it out. I guess people who love drama ask the question. I might play them next time by changing my mind just as they are about to tell me.

p.s. I wanna go shopping with you, Gabe. Is that bad news or good news?

Id would rather hear the good news first. Then maybe the bad news wont make me feel so bad. Its like foreplay before sex you know your gonna get screwed, but at least you are prepared for it.

You know what question I hate even MORE?

"Can I ask you a question?"

.....Answer? "You just did - ok bye, you're past quota!"
