I've been conducting some research on tribal affiliations, and discovered the phoenix is my chief totem animal. Neat Stuff! It coincides nicely with my given name--''Running Cloud ''.

Its an online thing, Dan. Its a program called Gimp, it comes with linux. Or you can install it with the install files of Linux. I dont know if you want to intall a whole OS for a gaphics program. Linux is pretty cool to play with, lots of nice, free stuff that works really good. Nice GUI these days also.

Good looking Phoenix there Midas, pretty slick.

They have window's verisons of gimp. I believe the website is www.gimp.org. Excellent graphics program....on par with photoshop. (If you download it..make sure to download the framework file too....you need that installed to run GIMP) It is a free download, and well worth it.

Thx Greeny! Gimp is a GNU project, yah. The PC version is OK, but the split-windows for the display/edit/tools layout is a pain. Not bad for free though.

is also available for $29 for download.

www.cooltext.com/ is another free online text and logo editor.
Seems to be a server problem there at the moment though

Dan did my signature with the scrollwork.

There are so many free sites now on the Net, where you can dream up custom sigs and avatars. There's at least a dozen 'avatar generators' now. Free gif sites everywhere! Most of the crappy ones, unfortunately, clutter up the g00gle results. So a little research is always fun anyway if you want to find some really meaty FREE STUFF.

I just checked back at Cooltext.
Site's up now, although still slow. They're in the middle of an upgrade.
They've expanded the font selection by a factor of a gabillion
