Zone Alerts?? Help Anyone

This program that Midas told me to get is working LMAO but it keeps telling me that remote whatever on different Ports and Stuff are blocked and I am not sure how I guess to work this thing. Do I have to set this to work or is it already working...I am not sure, I have not had any problems other than this it keeps bringing up here I just had another one...It says traffic to port on my machine (numbers but I am NOT listing it here LOL) from port on number and then it says IP address....says it may have been a port scan or unsolisted commercial or network control messages...

Now mind you these things are popping up all of the time, LMAO and I don't know how many different numbers and ports that I have gotten it just seems really confussing to me...So am I doing something wrong and if not are these things going to go off all the time????

Now I have also had to check a few things that I am not sure if I should have checked OMG I need to get educated here LOL>>>So does anyone here have a clue as to what all of these means...I am calm>>>Progress right...

Zone Alarm is known to throw false-positives (not really 'attacks', just legit programs using certain ports) at first. Just read every alert and then decide if the program is allowed to use those ports. There should be an option to "Always allow" for safe programs using necessary ports. You can also choose "Notify Me", which can get annoying for programs that auto-connect once or more a day.

Yes there are options that say Always allow on some of these but the ones that just keep popping up don't have options the only option that it has is OK>>>>LOL I have to press OK just get rid of the thing...Now I just had another one and in the more information box it just tells you what I described up there... Well I don't think that it is anything to really worry about I guess don't know ....

ROFL, Vic!! Aren't those alerts annoying?? Open up the main program by double clicking the icon in the active prog tray. Go to Alerts & Logs, click the OFF button to turn off the excessive alerts. It doesn't turn if off completely, but it severely limits the pop-up warnings to the High Level program alerts.

It does a pretty good job of identifying most stuff (once you get some of the kinks out). For your uses you shouldn't worry about it too much. Hopefully you aren't going to any sites that would be more prone to attacks. (Foreign sites, illegal sites, phishing sites, etc)

It keeps a log of everything in case you get curious, but for the regular user, only high alerts should be a concern for you.
