| Injured squarel
I got home tonight from work and a neighborhood cat had gotten hold of a squarel. Looks like it has a hurt back, not sure, so I had a cage which use to house rats. well I was abble to get the squarel into the cage. I didnt want the cats to kill the squarel. Does anyone have any advice on what to do with the squarel? It is defensless and there are too many cats in my neighborhood. What can I feed it and so on?

You can call the humane society and they will pick it up. Most areas have wildlife rescue resources and will fix it up and return it to it's natural environment. They would know where to direct you to call.

so sorry... i had pet squirrels growing up, we rescued them since birth. It is very hard to raise a squirrel.. The death rate is very high. Both of mine passed within one year, heart attacks. Trust me u did all u could.

This might help: link to all the wildlife rescue agecies in Oklahoma. There seems to be quite a few - I would definately get at the very least their phone advice. They'll know a ton more than us. |
