Sunday mornings just won't be the same without Tim Russert. Meet the Press was one of my most favorite shows. I hardly ever missed it. If I had to go out, I rushed home by 10 am so I could catch what Tim had to say, and what guest he had on the hot seat! I learned more about politics from him, than I did from my political science classes. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and to all who loved him. ![]() Farewell, Tim Russert... I'm glad I shared the planet with ya; you were a mentor, even if you didn't know it. Shalom!

Tim Russert embodied the core values of hard work, responsibility, and love for family. If those aren't the reasons that we should seek and then maintain a sober and contributing life, then there are none. I too was a devotee of his reporting and questioning of our leaders and would be leaders, but as I have watched the tributes to Tim I have been moved to try and live a little better life than I have been living. If someone can motivate by example, then they have lived a victorious existence. RIP and Godspeed, Jon

I'm glad you started this Teach. I don't have any beautiful words like the rest of you; I'll always remember the Bush/Gore elections and Tim with that little white board and dry erase markers. Makes me smile.
