| The Business of Recovery
Hello friends, This is a subject not widely discussed here because it can be conflicting in many ways. Getting sober is a life changing experience. It was my thought that business and recovery should not mix. I could see that there were some taking advantage of others and some people would lose there spiritual connection over money issues. One of my best friends went to work in recovery and he has done well. In my fifth year of sobriety my business was changing. I was a loan officer since 1997 and it was time for me to find a new line of work. As it happens, I was at a speaker meeting and a friend of mine asked me how things were going. I told him I was looking for a new gig and he told me he had something and I should give him a call. Long story short, I am raising capital for a network of "High-End" treatment and recovery centers. Please feel free to share your stories, I think this will be helpful to those facing decisions regarding money and recovery issues. By the way I would not be completely honest if I did not mention that I came to this site looking for potential investors. Keep Coming Back..... |

The SoberRecovery forums are for peer support only. You may contact The Mulligan Group with any investment requests. The Mulligan Group: The Power Behind Second Chances In my experience here I've found that our members do not like it when we mix business with personal recovery. We all know that SoberRecovery is a business, but they have kindly kept it separate from the forums and given everyone a safe place to work on their recovery issues. Our paid advertisers are not even allowed to promote business on the forums. The best of luck in your new business adventure. MG

Thank you for your reply, "High-End" refers to the higher priced facilities. In Malibu for example, the cost is upward of $30,000 to $60,000 for the 28 day program. The Sunray Treatment and Recovery Center that we are opening in July is $13,800 and has the same quality of services. ] Mike. G |
