Smile Forrest Gump

this is a completely random post ... i don't know anyone on here, i don't think, but i just felt like sharing that i saw this movie for the first time in YEARS last weekend. it was on TV, and i randomly stopped to watch it. i caught it just as it was beginning.

the last time i saw this movie, i was very young. i loved it, of course, but it had a different meaning for me then. now, as an adult, i see this movie as even MORE moving than before ... it's a truly beautiful film. i know "inspirational" sounds like a cliche thing to say, but it's true. it IS inspirational, and beautiful, and all of those things that sounds so cliche but are still so true.

if anyone is ever in a funk, i highly recommend watching good old Forrest Gump. It really made me think, and it brought out some of the better parts of my personality for the rest of the day.

has anyone else seen this one recently?? know what i'm talking about??

the simple things in life should never be taken for granted, is what i got from that movie. an addict couldn't get a better message.

I like how both costars find their way out their addictions. Jenny gets herself clean and makes amends, and when Lt. Dan lets go of his resentment his entire life changes.

Forrest was a smooth talker:
