Hi, Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic. Now that you are getting to know where your fellow recovering friends live, now it's time to ask them what kind of weather do they have where they live. For example....I live here down south in Texas where we have some hot temperatures during the summer months. They can reach close to 100 if not over, but the heat index is 105 give or take a few degrees. We are also close to the Gulf Of Mexico...but not that close.....we're further inland....so if we do and have Hurricanes then we would mainly get the rains and winds...power outages....flooding..... We are similar in weather as Baton Rouge is which is also further inland down the Mississippi River....New Orleans which is right there near the gulf....which last yr they experienced the worst of the worst of hurricane conditions....the Levee's broke causing the massive flooding.....it wasnt the hurricane itself that did the extensive damage. Anyway..... Houston is hot right now, but a "COLD" front has come thru which will drop the tempts down to the 60's tonight.....OH NOOOOOO.....we need to break out the electric blankets now.....lol A COLD FRONT IN AUG IN TEXAS..... lol Hey anything is possible these days.... : ) So what is the weather like where u r now and yr round. Our winters here are somewhat mild...60's 50's maybe 40's SNOW...LOL WHAT'S THAT? lol OK, HAVE FUN WITH THIS THREAD.

Well I live in South Carolina (the piedmont of the carolinas) and weather is normally pretty good. We have cold to mild winters (rarely below 20degrees) and we have hot summers. it is always humid here. A dry day gets in there everyonce in a while. Right now the weather is HORRIBLE. It is pouring rain. Thundering and Lightening and weather is so bad you can't see to drive. Its been this way for about 1 hour now. |

| I am in northern Virginia so I have a good mix. It does get a little hot for my taste though. I want a bit more snow. This summer it has been dry, dry, dry. I am hoping we get some rain from Ernesto.

Ontario, Canada where summers can be over 100 and humid, and winters can fall to 20 below zero on a cold day, and we can get anything and everything in between ![]() Autumn is coming, and it's always been my favourite season. Too bad we can't go from Autumn back into spring, and just skip all the white stuff.

Southern Ohio here and at this moment (9 am.) It is really chilly out. We went for over 2 weeks with no rain and everything was so dry and yucky, then we got hit with 2 days of much needed rain that brought a cool front with it so it has been in the 50's at night and 70's during the day. Feels like early October weather for us. Looks like we are in for an early fall. Leaves have already started to drop and my gardens are really slowing down. Of course, if you have ever been to Ohio, you know that if you are waiting for the weather to change, just blink LOL so we shall see. Liss |

They say that down here in GA if you don't like the weather, just hang around a day or so and it will change. Our summers are usually in the lower 90's but this summer has been extremely HOT! Our winters are usually no colder than a low of 20 and a high of 32-35 but without a lot of wind (usually). We haven't gotten a lot of snow in the last few years but in 1993 we got that HUGE blizzard, 3-5 foot drifts! I loved it! I will be moving to Hampton, VA soon and I don't know much about the weather up there. Hopefully it is nice. GP

I live about 30 minutes north of New Orleans, so it is very hot and very humid down here. Hurricanes suck!

Hi you guys. I like hearing about different types of weather in different states, cities, countries.....Its kinda interesting when someone paints a picture using descriptive words to explain what kind of weather they r having where they live. I know this is the time of the yr. that season are beginning to change. Since I live down south in HOT HOUSTON, TX. AND similar to LOUISIANA, hearing what its is like up there in Canada, or Australia, or Washington State....ive always wanted to go to Washington St. ...ive been as far noth as a dip into Montana....just a dip....and up there in Maine...and a dip into New York all the way down to the Florida Keys and New Mexico....and lots of the states in between...Havent been to California yet either.... Anyway....I think about the mountains and the snow since we dont experience any of that down here in Houston. What about those starry skies....wide open skies where u can see for miles and miles....How about home on the range? what about wild life roaming the plains...lol All we have here is city life....at least in Baton Rouge we had some moss cover trees over lapping some country roads and the levee was our mountain....lol Come on guys...Fall is coming up on us....lets get in the weather mood....lol

The kids and parents always have a good time... the chilly nights and perfect mornings...walking my dog ...he gets so hot in summer and is glad for Fall too....he is getting his winter coat and it is stunning.....Big , fluffy...newfoundland...he is gonna be Serious Black this year from Harry Potter.... Plus my birthday is coming up and though I am getting older...I still love birthdays !!! Peace ~B |

Well - Here in Southwest Louisiana it is Hot & Humid - We are still recovering from the Forgotten Storm - Hurricane Rita - So, please folkes as you send prayers & thoughts for those people in New Orleans and Mississippi trying to rebuild from Hurricane Katrina don't forget about Southwest Louisiana & Southeast Texas - Oh & I think Florida got hit pretty hard by Hurricane Wilma too last year - Anyway - back on topic - the weather is HOT, HUMID - and mucky - But it still smells like football season in the air - Doesn't matter how hot, rainy or mucky the weather is - still gotta make those Friday night High School Football games & Saturday night College games!! - Maybe sometime before October we might make it in the lower 60s. (yeah!!) |

It's beautiful here today...blue skies with lots of tiny, puffy clouds and the high temp was 92, but it will cool off soon and then we won't have to mow the lawn every week but only twice a month! I am in FL and Fall here is not so dramatic but a welcome relief from the heat. Squirrels have 'hidden' areca palm nuts all over my lawn and I will have alot of baby palm trees in the spring due to their efforts! I may drive to Tennessee in Oct to see some fall color. Hopefully we will move through this season without any more storms- we still have alot of blue roofs everywhere leftover from two years of hurricane activity.

I am so glad to be in the Heartland. I like it so much better than Florida climate wise. I love the 4 discrete seasons...and like Ann, in Spring that is my favorite and in Autumn that is my favorite! LOL The weather here today has been perfect. Low in the high 40's at night and mid-70's and sunny skies during the day. A light nice breeze, the air is fresh from the thunderstorms just passed through. Folks are planting crysthanemums in the cinnamon, yellow, white and orange for fall displays. MMMMM-mmmmm

It's still very nice down here in Houston....Blue skies....no clouds and about 83...low humidity.... Before with my job i had to go outside to gather in the shopping baskets,,,,been doing that for 5 yrs in all sorts of weather...now they have someone who just picks up baskets and thus leaves me to just bag and do other customer service duties inside....the only time i go out is if i have to do a carryout for a customer....today i had one carry out.... sniffle sniffles : ( I LOVE being outside,,,and to not be outside as much as i use to,,,i feel like a flower wilting away....i need sunshine and fresh air to survive and blossom and bloom... : ) That is why i didnt take on a job sitting at a desk...i dont like to be cooped up....anyway....ill try to get more carryouts if possible so i can get my daily dose of sunshine during the day.... : )
