| *~7 YEARS BABY~* | Your Car suggestions?
If you were to buy a new car, based on best gas mileage, etc, does anyone have any suggestions? I've been told Hybrids are not the way to go... I drive A Lotttttt, so I need or want something that is better on mileage, and isn't going to break down every few months....... Just wondering if anyone has any opinions..

| ![]() Absolutely what you need ^^^ New Acura NSX (coming soon). I'm actually gonna sell body parts if I have to in order to buy one. So if you're looking for a spare spleen or perhaps an extra ear, lemme know. Seriously, I'm a sports car fanatic (And a Camaro lover) so mileage is not really my thing. Having said that, the Smart car gives you some great MPG, and it's kind of a conversation piece. Plus it's bloody cheap (at least it is over here) I definitely wouldn't wanna wreck in one though. They're no big deal over here in Asia, but I'm sure they get lots of comments back home in the world. Otherwise, it kinda depends on what you're looking at from a ride. The Mini Cooper has lots of get up and go, reasonable mileage and it's sporty. The Scirroco (VW) is also a very nice ride that gets some fairly decent MPG and it's extremely comfortable long distances. My wife bought one last year and I absolutely love it both in the city and on an open road. If you're looking for straight up gas savings, when we were shopping the Honda CRZ was the best pick we found. It's a nice little ride also - remarkably comfortable. Only thing that stopped us from grabbing that was the 'cool' factor of the Scirroco. Also - I wouldn't wanna go tossing end over end in a CRZ. Take one for a test drive and you'll see what I mean. Just feel vulnerable in it - even though that's likely just a personal pet peeve I always like to have a little bit of oomph standing between me and a toss up. As for sedans I'd suggest Chevy Cruze or a Hyundai Sonata. Both get excellent mileage for their size. For Hybrids I think the Nissan Altima is considered a good value. My 0.02 pesos.

Back when I was in the market I was seriously considering a volkswagon Jetta TDI uses diesel for fuel so better milage and more reliable engine. But I don't know much about cars. INH |

Well at PINK Acres we have two wonderful cars we have a 2010 Furious Fuscha Dodge Challenger ~ for speed, muscle car and total HOTNESS BUT for my 63 mile commute (one way) we bought me a Hyundai Sonata!! It averages about 35 miles to the gallon ~ very comfortable 4 door beautiful vehicle ~ has a few of the luxaries, but not a lot of the bling blings of the Challenger! It is a great vehicle for driving back & forth to work - In April mine will be a year old but it already has over 25,000 miles on it ~ we have taken a few road trips in it. I really like it! Good Luck shopping - that's fun & exciting stuff!

My boss recently bought a Ford Fusion Hybrid and he loves it. If you have access to Consumer Reports, that's where I would do my research.

Kia and Hyundai are making very good cars with great gas mileage. 10 year warranty as well. |

my parents both just bought the honda civic hybrid. we are a huge honda family, we dont drive anything else. IMHO they are probably the best cars built today for gas mileage, engine life, and value. Those things get 50mpg and have all the creature comforts you would expect even navi! heck ive has 5 hondas myself |
