"unpack." as in some host on NPR saying "lets take some time to unpack this argument." It just annoys me.

In my meetings at work they use words like "icebreaker", talk for a moment with your "shoulder partner", and "debrief"...I can't stand jargon that is intended to create a chummy atmospere that is clearly absent. It's phony.

I love the word "jargon" though LOL

I just love words, period. They have immense power...and they're fun

"Come to Jesus" when we have meetings....If we could actually DO THAT we wouldn't NEED to discuss every last thing.

also the doctor I work for always says "No Problem-o"...she's a wonderful brilliant person, but that drives me crazy.

I hate when people use the term "what do ya know?" as a greeting. What do I know about what? It makes no sence to make that the first thing you say to someone in the morning. When someone uses this as a greeting to me I usually reply "precious little."

Haha, similar to "y'amsayin" for "you know what I'm sayin" or "yamean" for "you know what I mean"

Delish. First of all, it doesn't sound nearly as cute as you think it does. Secondly, you come off sounding like you're too busy or too challenged to be throwing around an extra syllable.

How about when someone pronounces/says something the wrong way, you correct them, and they continue to say it wrong. Example, remember the Nickelodeon show Are You Afraid of the Dark? My dad always has and probably always will refer to it as "Who's Afraid of the Dark?" my brother and I gave up correcting him long ago.
