Craigslist

ANyone else visit this site regularly?

I hit it numerous times a day.
I found my last job on there. The one I loved so much and lost.
I also found 2 like new rocking recliners both for $35.
I thought it was a scam.
I went to get them and they are almost brand new. The lady lives in a 400 to 500k house.
I couldnt believe I found this deal. Both the chairs for 35 bucks. Not one rip or stain in them.

I am doing better finding job openings on there than I am in the local paper.

Anyone else addicted to it? LOL

I love Craigslist. I've bought several things through them and even have a couple of favorite sellers.

I do, have been for years. But good grief are there scammers all over that freakin thing.

It is like a puzzle trying to figure out how they come up with the newest scams.

They are I'd like to take some of these scammers and fling em like slingshot..

I don't know where I would be without it though, it's been a huge life line for me.

Yea..There are some real ballsy types on there.

Ever look in the casual personals? LMAO. Its like free porn.

There are alot of scammers in the jobs section. I like when they ask for your SS # on a fake app and stuff. Are people that stupid that they would do that?

I look at the free stuff alot too. If I had the gas I would be having a huge lawn sale like every weekend. LOL

I got a money order in the "Job Section" for something like $2500.00 dollars at Xmas time, a big scam they were or are doing.

I think I just got scammed again, or I think some moron will be sending me a huge money order next week, from something stupid I saw on there.

Luckily I end up figuring it out before I end up falling for it all the way.

Yea, there are so many people who fall for the scams, I have read about people falling for the scams I have almost fallen for and they have lost thousands and thousands of dollars.

They get clever, these people, the money orders are the big thing over here.

Yea..some of them are pretty good.
Send you a check or money order..Cash it and send them x amont back. But turns out its fake and you end up having to pay your bank back. I am so glad I odnt have a bank account sometimes.
In my using days I would have cashed and kept it all.

There are way too many crazies out there........

must admit Craigslist is a guilty pleasure of mine....I read the personals as well as look for good used stuff like furniture. I don't know why I read the personals....I'm not interested in anything...but I find it interesting.

On my swearing mommy site we like to make fun of the personals. We're bad.

DH and I have given away stuff on there and sold one thing. We like Freecycle too.

I find it funny how you can be on another one of the forums on there, and all of a sudden some ying yang thinks it's a bright idea to post a picture of his "Personal Thing"..

lol, that always gives me a laugh, Like what the ???? would posess someone to just
go take a picture and post it in some odd forum....

I used to give free stuff away on there but people are so flaky they never come when they say they are, so I just donate it now.

But I do have something on there now, lol

I was a bit shocked the first time I glanced at the personals.

I use Craigslist way too often. Have sold stuff for others as well as myself. Also have given away quite a bit there that I hated to throw out but didn't want to try and sell. Putting a motorcycle up there for sale this week when I get it pulled out of the garage and polished up for a photo. Great place as long as one keeps in mind there is always someone out there looking to take from others.

Chiynita, I love that KT Tungstel album.. She rocks.

I have made a bunch of money selling my furniture and random household goods on craigslist. I look at the site nearly every day, although I am NOT buying anything... I'm moving and need to downsize a LOT. I only deal in cash and I make sure that someone picks up during daylight hours. I also keep back up emails in case of a no show. I've never been scammed....

But my brother has had someone try that $2500 deal, actually 2 separate guys. My brother realized early on that it was a scam and involved the police. The police even called the Secret Service in and they all had a meeting at my brother's house going over the "cashier's check" which was stolen and all the emails and other correspondence.

My future daughter in law was almost a victim of a similary deal, the "secret shopper" job she found on craigslist. She was so excited to be able to shop and get paid for it... and then the check for $2500 showed up. Thank GOD they called me before they went to the bank.

Just like anything else, CraigsList is great as long as you use common sense. I'd suggest you call the police if/when you get your next $2500 check, Miss Done...
