| same planet...different world | Terry Pratchett & DiscWorld, anyone?
When I got so sick I had to quit my job, I loaded up on the Discworld books and ONLY read humor for months. I truly believe it made a GIANT difference. Now, when I die - I hope I wake up in Ankh-Morpork... but as a wizard or something really cool. not a zombie. Luckily, my 'most signifigant person' is British so I was tutored properly in the realm of Pratchett. Anyone?

Oh being unemployed at the moment I have to wait for the new one (Unseen Academicals) to arrive from the library, the wait is killing me. The books make me laugh out loud but I am glad to say there is more to them than that. I love every one of them and even on my worst day they cheer me up. Terry is my hero

I am not too impressed with the new one but it is always good to visit Discworld.

| same planet...different world | :actually, I'll have to get it I've so many of his books now, it'd be like an incomplete set or something. I'm totally bummed that the american releases in paperback don't have the INCREDIBLE illustrations that the british editions have on them.

Yeah the American covers are a bit odd, I've never quite understood why they are different. Be aware though this one contains a lot of very British references, mostly about footie culture, I know Stone isn't a football fan so feel free to ask if you are wondering about anything.

Man, it's been years, but I used to love The Disc World Books. I remember when I was in college picking up a copy of Mort in the Library lounge and reading it start to end and then realisingI'd missed all my classes and it had gotten dark. Good times.
