| Terry by George McGovern
I am currently reading a book called "Terry" written by Senator George McGovern. It's a book about his daughter Terry's struggle with alcoholism and drugs. She died December 13, 1994 after drinking too much and falling down in the snow where she froze to death. I've had to fight back tears reading this book. I commend Senator McGovern for writing it. Grateful Heart.

wow, i've never heard of it. sounds really good. I read a book where a father wrote a book about losing his daughter to anorexia, it was good like that, I had tears most of the way through it. I'll have to check this book out.

I read that book years ago, and as heartbreaking as it is, I would wholeheartedly recommend it! Terry was a hell of a smart & funny kid (as many of us are). You can tell that George McGovern was a good & decent man who NEVER turned his back on his daughter. It could have BEEN ME lying dead in the snow...........
