Yes, just as it says life is good. I just got a promotion today in my field that took a good part of my life to find. I work IT for a major school system and love it. I finally found what I wanted to do when I grew up a couple of years plus ago at the age of 48. The reward is really a blessing after some of the lows I have taken in my life by being misdirected. The promotion today, was just icing on the cake. I wish everyone the perseverance to find their way.

I have spent years in and out of different types of recovery and programs. I have been mostly sober since mid 1990, but have had many slips, sometimes severe over the years. Just had one for four days after a tad over five months abstinent from alcohol. This was just a slip of "opportunity" I guess. Alcohol doesn't work at all for me any more. It immediatly just screws up my chemistry such that it takes some time to get back to normal. It is basically senseless and I am basically finally...
