I am going to be a year sober on January 17. The first year of sobriety has had so many wonderful times in it.

Most things in my life are either BS or AS. Before sobriety or after sobriety.

The AS is much better than the BS. It WAS BS for sure.

Now I am getting a little bored with life.

After getting sober there were MANY firsts.

First sober day.

First sober week.

First sober month.

What a day! It started at 3am with a panic attack that woke me up. I had never had one until I got clean/sober. Probably because I was on so many benzos.

I woke up startled and frightened. I had a psych dr appt today and I did go. He said that I am having panic attacks. He wants me to come to him twice a month for therapy. He totally understands my aversion to taking pills. He is the same dr that saw me through detox.

It pisses me off to have to go back to therapy....
