Substance Free!

Posted 01-04-2011 at 09:57 PM by SugarScars (what goes up must come down)

Wow!

Today I'm free of active addiction. My disease - the act of letting my character flaws control me - is in remission. I couldn't be more grateful!

Today, I'm free of Zoloft. Suboxone. Oxycontin. Stimulants, uppers, downers, alcohol, hallucinogens, the compulsion to use - PERIOD.

Amazing!

It's been a long year. Lots of ups and downs. Sometimes I felt like the luckiest woman alive. Sometimes I considered suicide, because life seemed

Day 7

Posted 04-12-2010 at 11:39 AM by SugarScars (what goes up must come down)
Updated 04-17-2010 at 12:07 PM by SugarScars

Finishing up my first week sober/clean ... I haven't taken anything other than Zoloft for the past 7 days. I can't say that I have 7 days clean/sober yet. The day is still young. Relapse is always a possibility, but today I have a choice.

It used to annoy me to hear people say that. What the hell are they talking about? Of COURSE I have a choice! I've always known that. DUH!

My main problem is that I can know things intellectually, but not emotionally. Meaning, I...

It's been a minute

Posted 04-08-2010 at 09:21 AM by SugarScars (what goes up must come down)

It's been awhile since I've blogged here. I miss SR. This place is great. I quit Suboxone treatment on November 24 - that WAS my clean date, until a couple of weeks ago. I made it almost 4 months. No cravings, no pain, no withdrawal. Nothing. I was doing so good!

I Get By with a Little Help from My Friends & Myself

Hey, Everyone!

I'm down to 2.5 mgs of Suboxone per day. Beginning Sunday, I'm taking 2 mgs of Suboxone per day. I will be finished with treatment - completely clean - within the next few months. Like I said before, I'm letting nature guide me.

I am no longer attending NA meetings, but this does not mean that I do not have a support system filled with people who truly love me, support me and want to see me succeed. I am in no short supply of supportive people in my...
