Rigorous Honesty

Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?

This has to be one of the simplest, most concise pieces of literature ever written. And if followed, it leaves no room for interpretation. There simply isn’t any wiggle room. A quick search on the internet tells me that it was coined in Old English and became a part of English trials sometime around the 13th century, so it has been around a long time. The Real World Jedi community maintains a philosophy that is practical and a spiritual path that is non-dogmatic. The Duck


Today while walking on the beach I encountered a Duck. Until that point I had been enjoying the strong cold wind, the hint of more rain to come and the wash of the surf breaking on the beach and rocks. The ocean was alive and it felt good to be there. I stared at the duck and the duck stared back. We were like a scene out of “The Far Side”.

The only worth a philosophy has is whether it can be applied in life. If our philosophy can be applied then we should practice what we preach.
