I have been here at Soberrecovery since the beginning and inception. I have been a alcohol and drug counselor for over ten years. I have posted numerous posting on this site. I am sure that I have helped many, many of the people here and I'm sure I will be able help many more.

Addiction to substances and things is a terrible thing, it destroys people, family, jobs and any other thing that is dear to the addict. The Co-Dependent is just affected as the addicted person and surely needs a great deal of help. I have just completed some course work and received another degree in counseling. Seldom have I had the opportunity to talk about myself and this seems to be a good place to do it. I currently work at a homelless shelter where 80% of the residents are addicted to something. It appears that "crack" is the drug of choice now. I have actually seen and heard of women's connection their children being broken. By that I mean the women sell their newborn child for crack. Now that is unbelievable but true. Imagine that, if the connection between a child and its mother can be broken, what would it do to you? If you are able and need immediate help come to:

There are many other addictions, such as love avoidance which is very destructive to the people involved. I do not have the cure cause there is none but I do have the direction and treatment necessary to recover and arrest it.
