My take on counting the days:

The most important thing in my life at the moment, for this day, is my sobriety. Sounds selfish but there you have it. I'll do what ever it takes. That’s not a reckless statement. I am very sober at the moment and very aware of what day it is. It is 13 days past the day I made the most important decision of my life.
