Today is my 400th day and 34,621,771 sober heartbeats! Whoohoo!! Whoohoo!! Today I reflected on the fact that I have only wanted to use maybe 3 times in the past year. A big difference for me this time around has been my connection w/ my higher power. I have been reading through my Bible in a year and finished and started over again!

Recently my AA sponsor told me to fully plunge into my OA program. She said she had noticed that when my food was good, the rest of my life went well, and she observed I had been a food addict long before any other addiction. I felt FREE when I accepted this, then I re-traced all of my steps and the very first time I thought I needed a drink, it was cuz I felt like just a small buzz would help me to dance better w/out having to focus on my butt which was about 10 to 15 lbs too fat.

Each day my sponsor has me write a list of 5 things I am grateful for. At first I thought it was a bit ridiculous and now I am starting to see my life as one big blessing.

Today was a hard but good day. Any day sober is a good day for me. I worked hard and earned my wage. I am still working a loose OA program. It is hard to find all of the hours in the day to work everything. I need to put God first and my recovery a very close second. I think I would rather stay sober than stay on my food plan. If I overeat the conviction just isn't as strong. When I drink or use I lose.

Well, I have never felt better working both programs. Actually for many many years I resented getting clean and sober cuz I would gain so much weight as I would compulsively overeat and choke on my food, etc.

Today I have 4 1/2 months clean and sober and feel wonderful. I have 54 days of abstinent and am down 56.5 lbs. I feel much more energenic and have much more confidence as now I am working full time. I devote Friday's and Saturday's to my AA recovery as I meet w/ my sponsor...
