"Will the REAL ME stand up!"
In my years of walking in addiction I found myself very confused (when I rarely thought this deep and honest about myself) about who "I" really was under the shadow of the euphoria of my addiction. The longer I was in this state the more I realize (now) I was loosing my sense of identity or "ME" more and more. Being clean since the latter part of September I have come to a place where its time to say, "Hello ME...its been awhile....

Been reading this awesome book called "Willpower Is Not Enough" and I'm getting rocked (Obviously...I recommend it highly). I was reading about the need for "Mood Changers" we addicts look for to help us attempt to addapt to this disfunctional society we live in. Geez did it make a load of sense.

SIDE NOTE: Understanding the "Why's" of things has always been an important part of me finding the motivation to do something about it. Some can just listen...

Well its been a few days since I started this, so here is a quick update(have to head to work soon):

1. I have been 100% clean. (Yeah!)
2. Have faced 3 unexpected "temptations situations" and came out great.
3. REALLY enjoying my group I go to 4 days a week. Its great when your with a group of guys who are hard-core serious about doing this.
4. Mentally I feel like I'm being reprogrammed again and confused at times with all the thoughts (goofy one's...

New to blogging, but not to throwing my thoughts on the wall to figure “stuff” out. So here it goes…

My feeling run hard and deep about he depressing place I find myself. Yeah...things are on the ups-wing: Clean of opiates for just about a month, in a great recovery group, feeling more focused and clear headed with responsibilities and working the program, but the consequences of all my actions echoes quite loud still.
