Now i have 5 years sobriety, I feel so blessed to have been given the tools of the AA programme.

The freedom of sobriety is amazing !

Have been away from SR for yonks! So busy with life!
Everything is cool, including the weather ,

Altho I am away for periods, I NEVER forget the life saving first post I ever made here, the morning after my last drink! Without SR in my life, I would have been sunk!

since I have been sober, I have opened an online shop, @ an auction site . I am doing very well, and have quite a lot of sales .
Yesterday I had 13 parcels to send off, and had misplaced a pair of size 2 sandals ! Aaaargh !

I had to have a giggle when I thought of how I used to sit drunk @ my Puty, and imagined how I would have NOT managed to do this , when I was drinking, would have been utter chaos !

tis christmas day here in OZ, and I am working @ 1pm. For those who know my story, I still have had no contact from my son and Grandbabies, in 4 1/2 years.
I have been able to hand it over for the most part, but this time of year is a bit painful.

I have done all "the next right things" and now it is up to God.

Today I did something which would NEVER had happened in my "drinking career"
I was invited to a work collegue's family pre Christmas bar B Que! I was a bit nervous, because I had never met any of the people attending, and they all drink, altho my friend knows I dont , and about my AA thing.

I had the most amazing time! They were all Scottish, and all had wonderful voices, there was much singing, i even danced! I have never laughed so much in my life!
