Yesterday I had 13 parcels to send off, and had misplaced a pair of size 2 sandals ! Aaaargh !

I had to have a giggle when I thought of how I used to sit drunk @ my Puty, and imagined how I would have NOT managed to do this , when I was drinking, would have been utter chaos !

I am very organised with my stock, and eventually found the lost item, but that would NEVER have happened before

Just another little Blessing of Sobriety I guess .

tis christmas day here in OZ, and I am working @ 1pm. For those who know my story, I still have had no contact from my son and Grandbabies, in 4 1/2 years.
I have been able to hand it over for the most part, but this time of year is a bit painful.

I have done all "the next right things" and now it is up to God.

I was invited to a work collegue's family pre Christmas bar B Que! I was a bit nervous, because I had never met any of the people attending, and they all drink, altho my friend knows I dont , and about my AA thing.

I had the most amazing time! They were all Scottish, and all had wonderful voices, there was much singing, i even danced! I have never laughed so much in my life!


They all got mildly and hilariously drunk, told jokes ate heaps, and hugged me like a long lost friend when I left. never once was I pressured to have a drink, after I had said i dont , I certainly did not have any inclination to drink, I just had a marvellous time !

I was 5 months sober, and the night of my last drink , I had had my 'Blue dog" whom I had for 18 years, put down, and had not got another .
An online friend told me of mr S , who had been tied to a clothes line, and abandoned, so I decided to "rescue " him. he was very ill and neglected, Mucho $$ and much love later , he is now "King of the World " and everybodies new friend !
