Well, the Chinese New Year party came and went with some good food, good friends, a bit of drink and a bunch of games. I, however, stayed sober through the entire thing. I drank coke out of a lil' scotch glass like I said I would, and it took quite some time for anyone to notice that it was just coke.

Of course, I drank like... five cokes so my stomach was a bit achy and the caffeine had me feeling a bit jittery. I drank some Sleepytime tea before we went to bed, which helped me fall...

Tonight my girlfriend and I are hosting a Chinese New Year party. There will be much drinking by at least a dozen people, both Asian and Caucasian. (I'm from the US, she's from Taiwan.)

I'm the DD. She's not drinking, either.

I don't want our friends to be put off having some drinks just because we're not. Maybe I should have some coke and ice in a glass so it looks like I'm drinking, and then I'll just get a contact buzz from being around all the happy, sauced people....

...is the hardest one. I've been a heavy drinker since I was in high school. I started drinking in 1998, give or take. I never really liked smoking marijuana so I drank while my friends got high. I dabbled in harder drugs like ecstacy, LSD (a lot of LSD), psychadelic mushrooms and eventually cocaine. Those never really did it for me, but alcohol became my close, personal friend.

Enemy, morelike.

I drank so often that my tolerance became... impressive to most, unbelievable...
