I've been told in the past when I'm not "feeling well" write down what you're feeling and it will help bring some relief. Well it's been a long time since I've updated this thing and there's no more perfect day then right now. Because today I have a whole 8 weeks sober! That's damn near a whole 60 days, 2 full months! I've never been sober this long. Well not since I started my drinking carrear at the tender age of 13. I remember a few attempts to get sober here and there. None of them lasted long. About 3 times I remember making it 6 weeks at the longest. But I suppose those aren't important anymore, today is what...

Not much to post here. I'm still staying away from the drinking so that's the important thing here. I've done a few meetings. The people there are nice enough and good to see a few people close to my age in the mix. But still haven't really spoke up, just sitting off in the background and not talking to anybody.

These last 2 days though I just constantly feel tired. And when I sleep it's not all that restful and have some pretty screwy dreams. But I know it's all part of the normal...

After some soul searching and seeing that the pain of being a drunk wont go away on it's own I've made steps to get this recovery underway. I have meetings lined up and regardless of what I said in my last blog about not being that big of a fan of AA I'm just gonna have to try it for a while. there's no other program I can use at the moment and it will be nice to have veterans who've been there and know everything that I will be going through as I fight to regain my life and live it happily sober....
