It's DUMPING right now outside.

I love it when it does that.
I love the silence.
The inevidability.

I love to go outside at night when it's like this.
Makes my skin tingle.
The stillness of .. well, everything that can only occur when it's snowing this light, fluffy kind of snow .. is a high to me.

I become hyperaware.
All sound becomes deadened
like a recording studio.
oops.
Might not shoulda mentioned
I'm familiar with those.
Ahhh.
Who cares.
May as well tell the truth.
Nobody belives a anyhow.

ANyway -
back to the present.
Snow is a miracle to me, because growing up in the south meant that snow brought everything tro a standstill. It means the same up here, only for a shorter amount of time.

After this 'front' ... there's to be three days of average 15 to 20 degrees below zero weather.

And it feels great.
I live in an apartment that gets drafty, make no mistake -
but it was also built before electricity
was standard equipment on houses.
So I'll have heat.
I'll be able to cook ...
the sad thing is -
Butte was the first city in Montana to have electricity.
The power ... NEVER goes out here.
The mine generates it.
BUt I might shut off all the lights and cover the place in candles anyhow tomorrow night.
And listen to NPR on the radio.
And pretend the power is out.

In the quiet.
Enjoying the solitude.

That's the majick of snow for me.
It's profound.
Snow, I mean.

    You make snow sound nice.
I still strongly dislike it however.
