So, I have a crazy plan that runs through my head. My wife and I have been married for five years now. The plan is when my youngest Eli (6) turns 16, I will get a divorce and be free once again. I will be free to fly wherever I want and sit at a pub and drink all day. I won't have to listen to her bitching about stupid stuff all the time.

Easter Sunday and eight months of sobriety for me. This is by far the longest I have gone without any alcohol. I haven't gone to any AA meetings since the first month of sobriety, but whatever has been working is keeping me sober. One thing I do when I think about alcohol or drinking a cold beer is to remember that night at the hotel by myself. The third night staying in that ****** Value Place hotel, I came home from work. Well what a difference a week of sobriety makes. After attending 7 AA meetings in 7 days I feel pretty good about myself. Of course this is the norm after drinking for a long period. I feel blessed. I really like going to these meetings and seeing the same people there. It is kind of neat. I have not talked in front of anyone yet or seeked out a sponsor, but in time I hope to do so.

Day 11 is packed and in the bag! Man, these days seem to be flying by now. I had a dream last night that I had already messed up and drank. It was weird and I could even remember feeling sad and depressed. Man, dreams really mess with your head. I remember when I was drinking heavily before I would always have wacked out dreams after I was sober for awhile.
