Life Milestone

Just finished my last nightshift (lifetime I hope) at my old job. Thumbs up to that. Been working shiftwork 35 years. Start my new job (days, weekends off) on Monday coming. I work my last shift at the old job on Thursday, then off to get my ride out of storage on Friday. Looking forward to a 12 hour ride to blow the stink off. LOL. One more example of the thruth I've learned in AA. Step up to the plate, swing the bat and leave the results up to the HP. This new job came out of left field at the 11th hour, unexpectedly. The job I was pushing for, would have taken me 500 miles away from my wife and home. The HP always knows what's best for me. It's just my job to step up and swing. I'll post a couple pics of my ride home when I return. Can't beat sobriety with a stick!

Hope he doesn't glow in the dark. LOL. My last 3 1/2 year stint down south was on a nuke rebuild.

Can't beat sobriety with a stick!

The title still holds true, but sometimes the responsibility that comes with sobriety takes a big bite. Just got a call from the HR guy at my new job. The head honcho wants to see me tomorrow for a one on one. Never met the dude yet. Had to cancel my flight to go and get my girl.

On the positive side, the airline says I can rebook my flight for only a $30.00 penalty and the weather will be pouring rain and 9 degrees celcius all weekend up here. The HP is at work again. There is a reason for everything. I'll get to ride when I get to ride. Glad it's my old home group meeting tonight.
