Finally!

Finally took my bike out for the first time this year ...I swear the high I get from riding is 10 times better than what I got from drinking beer. And I feel a hell of a lot better in the morning!

Kathy

Still no stinkin' motorcycle smilie??????????

I hear ya Kathy!! I love the high I get from riding...so much better than a chemically induced high! Hope you get more riding in and keep it "rubber side down"!

Uh oh Gooch...gotta have that insurance! But funny you mentioned about the bills....I came home yesterday for lunch to no electric....oops!! Glad Kentucky Utilities is only about 2-3 minutes from the house! I'm working on my organization though!!!! ODAT!!!

Oh, yeah! Bein' loaded never felt as good as bombing into a sweeping curve with the throttle wide open and the pipes makin' that beautiful music! Those who don't ride will never understand how addictive that can be!

Of needs, I'm staying off the bikes right now - I don't want to rush things, and undo all my surgeon's hard work - but I'm jonesin' bad for a ride. My throttle hand goes into convulsions every time I hear a bike go by!

So, like Gooch, I'm gonna live vicariously through you and Kym. Go catch some breeze for us!

And yeah, where are the motorcycle smilies?????????????????????????

Kathy & Kym: Glad to hear you are in the wind. I'm going into DT's, it's been so long since I've been in the wind. There really is no better high than crackin' the throttle and leanin' er in. I'll have to add myself to the "vicarious" list, along with Gooch and Bill for now. Patience is a virtue that carries a lot of "wait".

Ahhhhh, to be Happy, Joyous and Free! Make me appreciate the wind in my hair, or should I say on my bald head. I’ve got a little over 4000 mi this year with about 2500 on the new sled. It’s good to be rolling full time again. And it’s worth it’s weight in gold to be doing it sober!
Ride Safe,
UT

Gettin' high again tonight... I used to obsess all day about going to the store and picking up my 6 pack, and now I can't really concentrate on work because all I can think about is getting on my bike. :andy: Maybe tonight I'll remember my camera and see if I can get some good shots for the ones of us that are having to hold off a bit on the riding.

If you're riding, stay safe. If you're thinking about riding - you'll be back on 2 wheels before you know it!

Kathy

Found my own darn smilie!

As addictions go, bikes beat beer any day! The cost in dollars can be about the same , but my bikes never cost me a job, a relationship, a family, a future, or any of the other things my drinking cost me, and my drinking never brought me the joy, serenity, and exhilaration my bikes do.

Yep. Bikes are better!

I got to get "high" saturday!! I, along with a few other sober bikers, headed a processional for one of my dearest AA friends who passed away. One of the guys tried to ride Benny's Triumph, but couldn't keep it running. I felt honored to help lead the way as we took that "last mile" with him! Afterwards I went on a "serenity ride" through the wonderful country roads here and enjoyed the horses, the blooming dogwoods and the redbuds!! Ahhhhh, so relaxing after such an emotional morning!!

I can hear an Ultra Classic outside my work window right now...gotta get back home and get "high" while my son is at a friend's house!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Love this similie

Keep on keepin' on!!

Bill you are funny.
I used to tell me that I'm on the "serenity now" program. That means I get it now, damn it!
He would just look at me, smile and say, "Some are sicker than others."
