Bummer! I lost it like that two falls ago. It was a sunny afternoon in November, about 12 degrees celcius. I gave the throttle a twist, coming out of the apex of an off ramp. In a heartbeat I was watching my ride slide away from me, from my position on the asphalt. Not a pleasant feeling. Had to replace the crash bar and I lost a little bark. I was lucky. I am well schooled in the fact that spring and fall riding up here in Canada calls for extra vigilance in the corners, watching for sand and salt. What I had forgotten is that even though the air temperature was a balmy 12 degrees, the asphalt was probably only 5 degrees....

There's all sorts of crap around here in the intersections and along teh road edges... and that lane marker paint is slick as goose snot when the temperatures are low. Good thing I had a buddy of mine teach me how he kicked hos flat tracker back up out of a slide. Never thought I would ever need that info since I didn;t have any plans on dirt racin.
