The Good, The Bad, and the...

I went down to the local body shop today. Windshield is cracked. What I found is that Mark and Kathy retired. They put the bodyshop in the hands of a skilled friend. Bummer. They have been working on my cages since 86 and they did the paint on my sissybar. People would buy a brand new car and bring it to them for a paint job. Factory paint stinks. They did great work.

Now for the good

The skilled friend they left the shop with is a rider and a skilled modifier of bike parts. The head painter is a teacher at a school that teaches airbrushing. This place has welders and painters that know bikes and do all kinds of custom work. Oh and they work on cages as well *LOL*

Now all I will need do is find me a few buck and an older Harley.

Reminds me of the saying "He never shuts a door without opening a window"! I've got an older Harley of my own that needs restoring. It's a 1966. This is a picture of it and my dad in his garage where we built my first bike...it was a "basket case" and I just loved it!

In case you didn't know, if you click on the image, it will open in another window and you can see the bike better! (You may know that, but I'm kind of a newbie at it!)

I would liked to have had a bike when my daughter was younger.
She would have worked on it with me, even more so then the boys would.
I always had to take my tools back from her more then I did from the boys.

right Best, you missed your chance, by the time my kids are teens we won't be allowed to wrench any more.
at least my 76 will still be exempt, i hope.
