Checking in - Bad day Wednesday

Lost my mom at 4:30 am to unexpected congestive heart failure. Lost Christie at 2:00 pm to cancer.

Feel VERY comforted that my mom took Christie with her.

These gals were my role models.
My mom was classy, ladylike, sweet and soft spoken and well taken care of.
Christie was brash, tacky and hard and quite the business woman.
Between the two, I have had a great education on both fronts.

Lots of changes going on.
Lots of AA love.

By the GRACE of God I am still sober.

Rest in Peace Girlies.
Love Forever

I am so very sorry for your loss. But you said it right when you said "By the grace of God, I'm sober". It is by His grace that we stay sober when we have to deal with life on life's terms. I'm so glad you posted and hope that you share this tragedy with your AA group as well. Like my friend always tells me "If you share it, then you've just split the burden by however many are listening and your load isn't so big anymore". My prayers are with you.

Love in the fellowship,
Kym P.

Sorry for your losses, Princess. How blessed you are, to have mentors like that, and their memories to hold.
