Hey HH, I'm here.. Been busy lately.. I really appreciate the thought... Going between the dealership and the Ins Co. Gonna be in the middle of their fight. Don't matter cause the bike's gonna get fixed either way...

I'm in the can't ride club too. Fed ex is jerkin me around on the tires I ordered last week. The original delivery schedule was the 8th.. then today , I just rechecked the shipmenttracking and now they are gonna be here tomorrow which sucks cause I have to be here to sign for them and mom's got cataract surgery, so I have to be with her. then the next day she's got to go to the eye doctor, so more chaufering. On top of that the starter solonoid crapped last night so I'll have to rebuild that, and I'm leaving for Oklahoma monday to be with my brother through his angioplasty/stent/ bypass whatever... arrrggghhhh .. only v twin I'm gonna be riding is the lawnmower. This grass is crazy this year.. needs mowing every other day. HH ... shoot me a pm . I'm thinking maybe .. I'm gonna be an hr or 3 away next week on wed or thursday...

Well I called today to see where I stand as far as getting the work done on the bike. I was told by the service person that it was NOT a priority right now due to the fact they have a tech out til Tuesday and they were way behind on service as it was. They will get to it,but for now it's on the back burner... FT!! Called the Ins Adjuster and told him to get it to another shop. There happen to be one close by to boot. So I called the dealer to release it and they were going to charge me $145.70 for the pick up and the time spent on the guestimate... Said they won't release the bike til it's paid... BACK to the Ins Co and he said that he's used to this and the other shop is going over there with check in hand to get the bike and that they should have it tore down by late today or tomorrow and we can go from there... NOT A PRIORITY!! HOLY CRAP!!! Friggin lie to me but don't tell me that the work is not a priority!!! Guess they don't want the $$$ bad enough.. Guess who'll never see another dime from me.... And then have the brass to charge me for the time to make a guestimate to boot!!! I was gonna get a FSM for a friend, but now I'll find some place else to get it... Sorry about the rant, but man did chaff my ass...

Yeah HH I got your pm.. I still got some remodelin to do arond here when I get back from Oklahoma ... WEll fed Ex got here about 7:30 tonight so tomorrow I got a date with some tire irons.. I got a metzler ME 880 Marathon for the rear and a ME 33 laser for the front. Hopin to get the tires done ( can I get away with goin tubeless on spoke wheels?) and get it down for inspection before I pull the carb for rejetting and do the forward controls.. Got a kuryakin 3 spoke spinner for the back pulley.. figured that woud set off the wrinkle black pulley better than one of those chrome pulley covers ..(less surface area to polish too ) these controls are sick.. the brake side has a billet pedal instead of the peg a lot of them use....I think I am gonna try the Ness Big Sucka air cleaner breather set up..it was either that or rob the S & S off the bagger.. lol |
