| Thanksgiving
Got a few (!!!) things to be grateful for this Thanksgiving weekend. Let's see... I'm still clean and sober, still active in AA, still working steps. I have a home that's warm and dry, and a good loving partner to share it with. I have a family that loves me, and doesn't have to hide their valuables or their booze when I come to visit. I have friends who love me the same way, and we can count on each other when we're needed. I have a job that doesn't entirely suck, and I'm physically and mentally up to the challenges. The cops aren't looking for me. When I go out to the garage, I have to decide which motorcycle I feel like riding. I have creative interests, and a little time to indulge them. That's just some of 'em. Been too sick to ride this past week (some nasty sinus/bronchial thing) but we're headed to Port Aransas for the holiday - my brother-in-law has loaned us his beach house - and by the time we get back I should be healed up enough to take part in the runs that are happening Saturday and Sunday. Yeah, I'd say this bein' sober seems to be workin' out for me. Howzabout y'all?

I've got a lot to be grateful for... Like you said Bill, I am Cleand and sober today. Still going to meetings, but not as many as I'd like to. Workin the steps to the best of my ability on a daily basis. Have a roof over my head. A healthy family that love's me and wants me around(boy is that a switch from the "old days")... Sorry to hear that you haven't been able to ride this week Billl, hope you recoup real quick. I have been able to ride this past week. Gonna take the last "work ride" today during lunch. Gonna put it up for the winter on Sunday, so I need a coupla more rides in before then. Thanks again Bill for reminding me that I have alot to be for.
