| Hi, I'm new... And a poll
Hi, I'm new to SR. I just felt like writing something for really no reason at all. Anyway, I got my license last July, the same weekend as I got sober, and it had taken me two years to save up for the classes and the exams. I don't have a bike yet, but I'm drooling over one. A Kawasaki ZX 1000 Special Edition, it's a 2007 model, it's 998cc, 175hp, weighs 227kg and is driven 6ūkm. I put a picture of it as an attachment. What'yall think? Up until now I've been driving my dad's bike, which is a Kawasaki Versys 2006, 650cc. I have no interest in that bike, I want something with more power. I was also wondering the statistics of people here that prefer hippies or racers more... Or something else. I myself like Racers, it's just my type.

I ride a Harly Davidson Road King Classic....a touring bike....just what I prefer at the time. Welcome to the forum, I have been to Iceland some years ago. As I recall it was very green. Newfoundland was very Icy. What is a Hippy bike?

Oh, well, I thought it was called that in English too, because I checked by googling the word Hippie motorcycle, and it showed what's called a Hippie in Iceland. Well, I'm not actually sure how to describe it then, but all Harley's are what's called a hippie in Iceland, and all that kind of motorcycles. Oh wait, after reading your replay again, I guess it's probably called a Touring Bike in English. Hmm, I don't suppose it's possible to change the options in the poll?

Definatly prefer a hippy bike then... : ) Those super bikes scare the snot outta me... maybe after ive been riding a few more years i'll look into a mid sized aproxx 600cc ninja or something... but for now my 80s BMW Airhead is plenty, not over or underpowered... Good to have you aboard, congrats on your sobriety... Ride Sober, Clayton

Nice looking Fat Boy .... original. There is one just like it sitting on top of a counter in a convienence store in Roby Mo. I have been wanting to get a picture of it and posting it on here so you could see it. Roby is south of Ft. Wood, and I get through there every now and again on a PGR mission.

I prefer ones that don't require a lot of polishing and accessorizing. Some seem to require changes in personal grooming and playing daily dress-up to ride, which is fun for some but not my thing. Here in Germany some try to approximate The Look, but always get something wrong, big or small that throws it all off. Makes them funnier than usual. |
