Thumbs up TOPIC: Bike To Bike Communication.

Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

By the grace of my HP and people
like you7 here in SR I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and u I am truely grateful.

Well....it's was June 17th when I
had a full left hip replacement and
thus had to put riding on the back
burner for awhile.

I did take the riding course with the
state last yr, but didnt complete it
because i was physically worn out
due to my hip.

However not all that knowledge was
lost or gone to waste. I have gotten
back on the bike with my husband
as a passanger and doing well.

The good news is......this week
i will go take the test to get my
endorsement weather permitting.

The little 250 automatic yellow
scoot mobile as i called it was
my training bike till i get my endore-
ment.

At the dealers right now, they r
holding my beautiful red Honda
Silverwing 660cc Scooter for pick
up in a few days.

We will add an awesome trike kit
to it to make it more of a touring
bike for me. All automatic of course
for this Lady Rider.

My husband will now be able to
ride together but would like some
sort of communication system to
use.

Any suggestions of what would
work for us? Walkie Talkies?

I'd like to get a helmet-to-helmet set one of these days for my riding partner and I, but the thought of having wires strung all over the place freaks me out, so maybe a Bluetooth wireless system might be the ticket.

I've dealt with JC Whitney a few times, their prices are good, nice selection, fast shipping, helpful customer service. Order a printed catalog and have fun drooling over everything you want Here's a selection of headsets Honda - Motorcycle Silver Wing Motorcycle Intercoms & 2-way Radios and Other Motorcycle Parts at JC Whitney

I wonder if there is a bluetooth cell phone headset that is helmet-compatible... or at least helmet-workable?

After all, one would assume you and your husband are on the same cell network, so it should be a free call, no matter how long the ride and the call are

Don't see any reason why that wouldn't work Goat. Or maybe on long-distance trips it'd disconnect when service becomes unavailable?

I have an artifical left hip also. I was back in the saddle nine months later.

The wife and I use the Nolan helmets with the blue tooth and wireless intercom. She rides her own bike and we travel. This summer was Canada and the Grand Canyon.....two different trips. Next summer is Key West back to Calif.

The Nolan wireless intercom has worked well for us. Occassionaly we loose connection but it's so easy to re-connect.

That works as well.....provided you both have blue tooth phone. However, when you loose connection it's a real hassel getting re-connected.....got call all over again, instead of just pushing a button on the helmet (like with the wireless intercom).

We've done it both ways and prefer the wireless intecom.

Uuhhhhhh......it's called "communication". Been around here long enough to learn how to do that.
