Well, I hate to agree with anyone's grumpy ol' man, but if you're in New England a cage might be handy to have. I seem to recall winters up there being wet, cold, and slippery. Only the most dedicated riders get out in that stuff!

But if you're that dedicated, the bike wins hands down!
