Thumbs up TOPIC: Bought My First Honda Scooter Today

Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

By the Grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and u I am truely grateful.

Ok, so here's what up.....

My husband and I went Saturday
to a Vespa shop here in Baton Rouge
in search for a scooter. Well , while
there a guy showed us a scooter
someone was wanting to sell because
her husband bought it and recently
passed away.

We gave our phone number in hopes
to hear back soon that we were
interested in looking at it.

Sunday we went for a ride and with
only knowing which area this lady
lived we went to find the yellow
scooter sitting outside in her yard.

With no luck, we did spot a Vespa in
the same area and decided to stop
to see if they knew the lady with
the yellow scooter wanting to sell.

Anyway.....he did know her as a neighbor
and called her only to find out that
she sent it to a Distributer to sell it
for her.

Yesterday they were closed, so today
my husband went there at 8 and put
money on it to hold it till this afternoon.

We went there together this afternoon
and there on the show floor was a pretty
yellow Honda NSS 250 Reflex/Forza with
a nice trike kit added to it. :atv

We paid for it and brought it home.

It's my first SCOOTER :atv YES..!

What's a grimlin bell?

Wedo have a biker bell on the
Road King and a St. Christopher
medal hanging on the Sportster.

The little bell rings and rings and
rings....makes me smile thinking...
well another angel got it's wings....

Bells on bikes are a tradition. I think it goes back to being a good luck thing, but I trust in God and don't think much about luck.......that is "if nothing in Gods world happens by accident." (Big Book)

The way I understand it is that you cannot give yourself a bell, it has to be given by someone who already has a bell. The story behind bells is that most mechanical failure on bikes are caused by Grimlins that lay out in the road. When a bike goes by they get on the bike and cause mechanical problems. If you have a bell, they attach themselves to the bell and the ringing causes them to fall to the road, and that is where potholes come from.

That's the story..............my bell was given to me by my riding buddy from Oakland Ca. who has 27 years in the program and many more years of riding experience. My bell has boots, rifle, and helmet on it and says "In memory of our fallen heros."

imagine it as a bright yellow with
yellow trike fenders.

See if it that works.

I Googled it, very cool and I'm sure the trike kit is nice too. Similar to a Suzuki Bergman. Nice!
