Oh Jesse...SWEEHEART....I beg to differ...this is what it will look like....

You & Me -

You -

Me -

And another thing...you're lucky I'm not still drinking, 'cause although I seldom indulged in it, JD made me 10' tall and bulletproof, and I'd take on the biggest, baddest biker in the bar just because I could..and remember, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned (me), and after all, you are a stupid boy...I was told to throw rocks at boys!

Toad -- is that properly pronounced Missora?

I hear the State of Missery often.

I say Missora.......we have a town down the road named Willow Springs, and everbody just says Willa. Also we have a town named Macomb and it is pronounced as Ma-Comb or have you seen my comb. Then we have a town named Manes and it is pronounced as May-nez. We have a town named Norwood and it is said as Narwood.

Just Toad from Mo is cool..............

Check out page 75 in the book Alcoholics Anonymous - second paragraph, beginning "We pocket our pride..." Promises! Then on pages 83 through 85 - last paragraph, beginning "If we are painstaking..." and ending with "...in fit spiritual condition." More promises! Look at page 87 - top of the page, beginning "What used to be..." Even more promises!

It goes on and on. The book is chock full o' promises, and my experience is that every single one of them comes true if I work the Steps.

The Steps won't cure Yankee-ism, but will definitely ease the symptoms of alcoholism!

The license plate on my bike is "PAGE83". The promises come true...they really, really do!!!

Hey Jesse - I need some drama....writing out my budget - never a good thing when you're twice as much in the negative as the positive.

For those of you that I KNOW have been praying on this, upon advice from my spiritual advisors and my sponsor/soul sister, and you guys way back when, I will be trying to retain an attorney to handle all the correspondence and the divorce. Supposed to be a pretty good one, he got a guy I know out of a federal counterfeiting charge.

So, anyhow, HEY JESSE!!!! : ('cause I'm a Harley snob, and will only ride a seat smaller than my @ss)

Your move!

Jazz 2 day

All this week the temp has basically been 60 with clear skies. Yesterday I rode around all day with the windows down.

Really sucks for the Dy to be down in such nice weather. She'll be done in a few days but my tags expired end of Jan as well. Ya can't get temp tags here unless you're doing the emissions/inspection for title thing. Out of state or new purchase custom build only. (might have to sneak down a back road somewhere)

Had some minor surgery last week, stitches come out today.

Tomorrow, I get the blazers A/C purged and re-charged for AZ. (Friend runs an ice plant, has vacuum/reclaimer pump).

Is Sat., maybe I'll get sum extra luvin.

God is great and I ain't using.

My only concern is, will I have enough fuel money for the trip.

Love it Jazzed! I am going to see George Jones tomorrow night with my hubby! We have booked a room so that all we have to do is walk through the lobby to the arena and see the show!! The room is a little expensive, but it's gonna be so much fun!! I will get to the room early and have some special plans for my baby!!!!!! Woo hoo hoo!!!! Then it's a steak and egg breakfast the next day...in the room!!!

Sobriety is wonderful, God is great and I am filled with gratitude!!!

Hugs,
Kym

Going to see Possum...........The person who wrote "We gotta hold on" lives down the road from me. His son and I played a bunch of music in my using days. Actually the old man and I have played some before. The song was written as a gospel song and George and Tammy sang it as a secular song. Still good though. George looks pretty good these days. He received the award at the Kennedy Center a few week ago. He is a living country legend.

Sounds like you and your hubby are going to have a great time.

Happy Valentines Day Ya'll...............I love you and there is not a damn thing you can do about it.

Hey now, this here's a family forum, let's keep it clean.

I'm taking my lady to the ballet, then out for dinner. Oh, and at some point I better pick up some nice flowers.

Poat-Valentines!

Hubby and I had a wonderful time together! However, I was faced with a desire to "drink like others". There was this beautiful bar area in the hotel...so lovely...and people were gathered around drinking and talking and having a good time. I wanted to much to do that...but see...the problem I have is that I just can't sit around and have a few drinks and chat with friends. Once I have a sip...all I want to do is see how fast I can get that one down to get to the next one. My mind starts to think that they'll run out and I won't be drunk enough! Yep...I'm an alcoholic alright! I told my husband about what I was feeling and he held my hand tightly and told me that I was going to be okay. I believed him. I started repeating this mantra (I think that's what it's called) and used my breathing techniques. Basically, I would breathe in and say...HP is good and loves me...and breathe out and say HP forgive me of my character defects. In with the good stuff...out with the bad stuff. It worked for me. We watched George Jones perform and then walked back to the hotel. We ordered a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Johns, watched a good movie on TV and drifted off to sleep...I was happy, at peace and still sober!!! Thank God for AA!!

Thanks for letting me share!!!

Love and hugs,
Kym

PS The heading is supposed to read "Post-Valentines" but I can't spell!!! LOL!!

I despise being told; "I'll be Ok.." when I get the stray urge to drink. I love my family dearly, as much as anything on this planet, but it is so hard to make them realize that if I drink, I die. Dying is not ok! My family have the very best of intentions and are only trying to see me through a tough time. Myself? I have a tough time with it because I know they were there, I put them all through hell, so I always think, "Why don't they realize I have a fatal disease, that I am only enjoying an HP sent reprieve from? Thanks for lettin me vent that!

We can do all sorts of things that people say we can't or shouldn't do, if we are spiritually fit. You were prayed up.....and continued to pray, and you had enough meetings under your belt to see you through.

I bet ole George was sober......I don't think he can tie one on like he used to.

Did he sing "We've got to hold on." ??

Yes he did and I cried like a baby! Yes, he was sober!!

PS Jimmy...I know where you are coming from my friend. The tone my hubby used was soothing to me and not the usual "oh, you'll be okay". That's what made it helpful. B/C you're right, he hasn't been where I have and he doesn't fully understand. I'm just glad I was in the right place mentally and he used the right tone!!!

LOVE YOU GUYS!

Right on sweetie...I hope I didn't sound like I was grillin your ol' man, cuz I sure wasn't! I don't like the internet in that regard, because you can't tell the context in which people are speaking...ya know what I mean? If your hubby was anything less than supportive of you, I am sure your marriage would be something less than solvent by now!
