Welcome to the forum. There are a couple of us here from Missouri. I know an old school Vietnam Vet rider from Fulton who has around 20 years in the AA program. He doesn't ride anymore and uses an electric chair with an American flag that flies high on it. Wayne F. ........ do you know him by any chance. There is a picture of him on this forum in the Mo. State Convention thread................Good to meet you soberbiker142

Keep comin' back, Chaos! Damn few of us make it our first go-'round, but those of us who stick often do recover!

For me, it took a number of false starts - so many that I quit counting days, and quit picking up the thirty, sixty, and ninety day chips groups in Texas give out to mark lengths of sobriety. In fact, I had to be ordered by my sponsor (who never gave orders) to celebrate my first year of real sobriety, because I still wasn't convinced I wouldn't slip again.

That was thirty years ago, and if that isn't proof that AA works, well, I don't know what is!

So keep comin' back!
