On PGR missions where we have a lot of bikes we usually ride staggered for safety reasons. We tighten up at intersections and when traveling we try and keep a close formation. We do ride parade (2 wide) but not at highway speeds. I ride with a couple of guys from California who like to ride side by side, but on these Ozark hills and curves most riders stagger to straighten out some of the curves. The oncoming cages also straighten the curves, so you never know how much room you're gonna need.

Went on a great ride today. Over two hundred miles with 14 sober AA riders rolling through the hills of Southern Missouri. We started out at the meeting house of the Gainsville group. It's a little house nestled in the timber about three miles out of town. No running water, just an outhouse. Most meetings there are campfire meetings sitting around a large fire. Even in the winter the meetings are around the fire unless the weather is absolutly miserable. We had a poker-run collecting 160 bucks.........20 bucks for food and the winner took the rest. 50 bucks was donated to the group. Southern Missouri has many old mills from the late 1800's and early 1900's. We drew cards at the start and visited three mills for other card drawings, and one card back at the house. The fall colors were beautiful. I had traveled those same roads doing the dope and booze thing. I am amazed at how ten years of recovery has improved my eyesight. And most of all how my attitude and conscience contact with God has changed. I am grateful that I don't have to live the way I once did. God is doing for me what I could not do for myself. Thanks for letting me share...............toad P.S .....Hurricane..........Jerry L. won the poker hand.

| Any sober riders around your area? Just thinkin' that might be an opportunity for fellowship and service (every run needs a sag wagon, right?), and might put you in place when a sweet deal on a bike becomes available. That's how my first bike came to me. I let it be known I was looking, and someone told me about The Bitch. The Bitch, the day I bought her, April 11, 1979
