Hey Sockittome, welcome to the forum. I ride a 2007 Harley Davidson Road King Classic. I have added a little more chrome to it, but here is the way it looked a couple of months ago. I fly the flag on PGR missions. Hope to see more bikes on this thread. Without my sobriety I would still be on a bicycle which I had to ride for 10 years. By the grace of God and the program of action called Alcoholics Anonymous, today I drive and ride.

I thought this was interesting. I can't imagine riding it though.

Thanks for the welcome. I bought a VRod in 2003 and couldn't ride it much due to being either drunk, or hungover. My sobriety date is 05.22.06 and on 09.11.07 I bought my Hayabusa because I wanted sportbike performance. I love it and did my novice race class at the California Speedway last weekend. It's amazing what I can do when I'm not loaded!

| Yes, I've heard that it's too heavy for the track but I had no problem keeping up with the light bikes in the turns and left them all standing on the straights. The track day was just to give me more skill for the street and it really paid off. I learned a lot, had a lot of fun and am once again grateful that I am sober to enjoy it.

| ![]() Here's my old girl. A 79 Honda Hawk CB400. This is my first year riding (well I bought it and fixed it up last year but this is the first year I have really taken it anywhere). I really find that riding helps keep me sober (well more sober, I haven't completely given up drinking). I never drink and drive so if I want to ride I can't drink. I like the Hawk but I can definitly see getting something a bit bigger next year...I find it is a great bike to learn on though, as it is light and easy to handle. |

I'm too techno-challenged to post a pic of my personal bike, but there's one on my user page, and I'll use the factory pic as my avatar for awhile. It's a Suzuki C50T, mine's pretty well dressed out these days. Quite a change from the tiny Honda Rebel 250 I had 18 years ago. Thank God I had the sense to quit riding that one drunk or I probably wouldn't be alive.

Hey, thanks for the props on the bike guys...I totally enjoy riding the old hawk, actually I love it! ...but I gotta tell ya Astro, you writing about your Suzuki C50 is weird...I'm going to look at one tomorrow, I saw it on Friday and can't stop thinking about it...it was regular $8999 here, (BC, Canada), but is on some kind of special for $5999 this weekend...just seemed like a lot of bike for that price so I was thinking it would be an awesome second bike. I always figured I would get into a cruiser at some point but not yet...I have always been into retro standards...but the C50 Boulevard is one pretty bike, and I can see myself cruising it.Stay sober dudes. |

That's a smokin' price Primal, the C50 is a lot of bike even at the regular price, lots of extras on it. It was nice to cruise on it yesterday, even in the 110 heat. toad, thank you for the kind words!

that bike is insane..wouldnt want to be stuck in heavy traffic in that monster ![]() and what about that exposed chain and cog wheels at your ankle. Guess you dont want to wear loose fitting pants while riding this one. i will stick with my Derbi 150cc scooter i think much better for city riding

That big bike probably also produces a bunch of heat. Can you imagine being stuck in traffic on a 100 degree day? Post a picture of your scooter. I'd like to see it.

I'd ride that 410 cu. inch monster if there was a drive-chain and a primary cover on it. Bet it would lay down a way cool layer of rubber from the git go...LOL

Ya, I'll probably have to get a windshield for it sometime soon Astro...I have been out on the highway with it doing 65-75mph's and it is a tad breezy lol...not to bad but for a really extended cruise I would want a shield. But I love the look of it naked so I will probably get one of those switchblade shields that you can pop off really quick for cruising around locally.
